Chapter 5 

The members of Skyhaven Club were classified into four levels, holding bronze cards, silver cards, gold cards, and diamond cards respectively. 

There were 300 bronze cards, and the annual fee was 200 thousand dollars. Cardholders could only bring up to two people in at a time and were restricted to activities in public areas only. 

As for silver cards, there were 50, with an annual fee of 1 million dollars. Holders of this card were allowed to bring up to ten guests everywhere except for the VIP area. 

Gold cards were limited to ten slots. The annual fee was 6 million dollars, and there were no restrictions imposed on the cardholders. 

Lastly, only one guest could own the diamond card, and they basically had the same rights as the owner of Skyhaven Club. 

Cecilia didn’t know how powerful the diamond card was. She only knew that it was the highest–level membership card of Skyhaven Club. 

She had taken out the diamond card only to embarrass William and make him spend more money. 

Under the light, the card embedded with diamonds reflected dazzling halos, turning the black bar counter into a sparkling galaxy. 

“Is that the legendary diamond card?” someone exclaimed. “It must be fake. There is only one diamond card in Skyhaven Club, which is in the possession of Mr. Christopher Forte.” 

“Is this woman crazy? How could she fool people with a fake diamond card? Does she think everyone here is blind?” 

“Mr. Xanders knows best whether it is real or fake. Let’s hear

Anthony was still in a daze, his eyes popped out of his head in disbelief. Of course, he recognized the diamond card, but he didn’t expect it to be in the hands of a young lady. 

“Did she steal it? No way. No one could steal from Mr. Christopher Forte! Or could this young lady be his future wife?” Anthony mused. 

While Anthony was lost in thoughts, Cecilia tapped the diamond card with her finger and urged, “Mr. Xanders, please say something.” 

Anthony came back to his senses and gave the answer under everyone’s expectant gazes. “This diamond card is real.” 

As soon as his words fell, everyone gasped and looked at Cecilia in disbelief. 

“Who is this young lady? How come she has the diamond card that symbolizes Mr. Christopher Forte’s identity?” people thought. 

One of them suddenly remembered he seemed to have bad–mouthed Cecilia just then. Recalling how people who offended Christopher had disappeared inexplicably, he was so frightened that he turned around and ran away. 

After that, more people left. 

The crowded bar area suddenly became much more spacious. Anthony continued, “Miss, may I have your last name? I need to call Mr. Christopher Forte to double confirm.” 

Cecilia nodded. “My last name is Yancey.” 

Anthony immediately called Christopher. “Mr. Christopher Forte, I’d like to confirm something with you. Did you give your Skyhaven Club diamond card to Ms. Yancey?” 

In the public recreation area on the third floor, Christopher sat on a chair next to the railing. His handsome features were cold

and sharp, and the look in his deep eyes was unreadable. 

The blood–red mole at the corner of his eye was bright. When he saw Cecilia downstairs, its color became deeper. 

The sleeves of his black shirt were rolled up to his elbow, 

revealing his sturdy and tanned arms. 

Swirling the goblet in his hand gently, he hummed an impassive hum in response to Anthony’s question. 

“I understand,” Anthony replied respectfully. 

He was about to hang up the phone, but Christopher called out to him and instructed, “Teach William a lesson.” 

Anyone who dared to cause trouble in his territory would have to pay the price. 

Understanding Christopher’s intention, Anthony silently expressed his sympathy for William in his heart. “I got it, Mr. Christopher Forte.” 

After ending the call, Anthony looked at William, whose face was stiffened. “Mr. Forte, according to the rules of Skyhaven Club, you will have to pay half the value of the diamond card as compensation and apologize to Ms. Yancey.” 

William’s red and swollen face turned pale when he heard that. 

The value of the diamond card was equivalent to that of Skyhaven Club, which was worth at least 400 million dollars. 

William’s net worth was less than 200 million dollars. And even if he had the money, he wouldn’t compensate Cecilia. 

Thinking of that, William said to Cecilia flatteringly, “I’m sorry for my ignorance, Ms. Yancey. Please forgive me.” 

Although it was embarrassing to apologize, it was better than shelling out money. William figured that Cecilia had an affair with Christopher, so there was no harm in flattering her. 

After Cecilia stowed away the diamond card, she took out her phone and clicked on the QR code for payment. “Mr. Forte,

William quickly took out his phone and joked, “Ms. Yancey, you asked for 200 thousand dollars just now. I think it’s too little, so I’ll give you 1 million dollars. Let’s settle this and make friends.” 

Immediately, Cecilia put her phone away and sneered, “Mr. Forte, 200 thousand dollars was the price before I showed my membership card. Now, you have to compensate me according to the rules of Skyhaven Club.” 

After saying that, she looked at Anthony and asked, “Mr. Xanders, what will happen if Mr. Forte refuses to pay?” 

“He will be beaten up by the bodyguards for causing malicious disturbance,” Anthony replied. 

William gritted his teeth and breathed heavily in exasperation. “Ms. Yancey, do you have to take it so far? I didn’t even know you had a diamond card.” 

Cecilia paused for a moment. Then, she said, “That makes sense. I’ll let you compensate based on the value of the gold card, then.” 

The membership fee for the gold card was 6 million dollars, and half of it would be 3 million dollars. 

Although William felt sorry for himself, he could afford the amount. In the end, he gritted his teeth and compensated Cecilia. 

Once she received the money, Cecilia spent it all straight away. “All drinks are on me tonight until I finish these 3 million dollars!” 

As soon as she said that, cheering and screaming broke out, and the bar became lively again. 

William lost both his dignity and money, and he still had to go back to placate Juliana. 

Just as he was about to leave, Anthony blocked his path. “Mr.

“I’m busy!” William snapped, but the next second, he was forcibly taken away by the bodyguards. 

Cecilia took a glimpse at him but didn’t bother. 

In a good mood, she ordered two more glasses of spirits. She couldn’t really hold her alcohol, and she usually didn’t drink. But today, she suddenly wanted to get drunk. 

Before drinking, she beckoned a waiter over and took out a bank card. “Book a room for me. If I get drunk, send me to the room.” 

The waiter hurriedly said, “Ms. Yancey, the holder of the diamond card enjoys the same rights as Mr. Christopher Forte, so all your purchases in Skyhaven Club are waived.” 

Cecilia was rendered speechless. 

“This diamond card is so powerful. Why did Mr. Tanner give it to me as a reward? Even though I made a lot of money for Skyhaven Club with my decent drumming skills, it’s worth at most a silver card,” she wondered. 

Cecilia then sent the waiter away and drank up the spirits she just ordered. Her throat felt like it was on fire, causing her cheeks to flush and her vision to blur. 

She got up and walked to the work area of the staff, heading straight toward the office of Sebastian Tanner, the deputy CEO. 

Sebastian knew that Cecilia would come to him, so he had prepared some coffee. When he saw Cecilia stumble in with a reddened face, he said, “Have a seat.” 

Cecilia was befuddled and dizzy. All of a sudden, she forgot what she was going to say. She didn’t even notice there was someone else in the office. 

That person sat on the executive chair at the desk, with his back facing the door and his figure hiding behind the chair. As he heard the sound of Cecilia’s unstable footsteps, he sent a

message to Sebastian: [Send someone to bring over the hangover remedy.] 

Sebastian took a glance at the executive chair and beckoned his assistant over. “Make a cup of hangover remedy for Ms. 

Yancey,” he ordered. 

“Yes, Mr. Tanner.” 

Cecilia was displeased to hear that. She stopped the assistant and said, “I’m not drunk. I don’t need to sober up.” 

The assistant went along with her and responded, “All right, I understand.” With that, she took the pot of coffee and left the office. 

Cecilia sat down on the couch and glanced at Sebastian with drunken eyes. “Why did you give me the diamond card?” 

“I don’t know. Mr. Christopher Forte asked me to give it to you.” 

“Mr. Christopher Forte? I don’t know him. Why would he give me the diamond card?” 

“If you want to know, you can ask him yourself.” 

“Okay, I’ll do that. Where is he?” 

Sebastian raised his hand and pointed toward the executive chair. “There he is.” Next, he got up and left the office. 

The assistant came in with the hangover remedy just then and left after putting it in front of Cecilia. 

Following the sound of the door being closed, the executive chair turned around 180 degrees. 

Cecilia was so drunk that she couldn’t see the person sitting there clearly. She wanted to stand up and go closer, but her legs were like jelly, and she fell back on the couch.
