Chapter 90: Daring to Touch Her Things
After contemplating for a moment, Charlotte decided to investigate and get to the bottom of it. After some effort, she found the package and noticed that it was damaged. It was in a sorry state, and its original appearance was unrecognizable. Charlotte furrowed her brow slightly. A strange smell emanated from the package, prompting her to step closer. She then extended her finger and peeled away the outer packaging to reveal something densely packed inside. To her surprise, it was a bunch of dead cockroaches.
Before Charlotte could react, several girls nearby who had come to collect their packages screamed in horror.
This is sick! Who buys stuff like this online?”
disgusting, stay away from me!”
Are those cockroaches? There are so many…”
Charlotte, on the other hand, remained unfazed. She took out her phone and immediately dialed the delivery person’s number to inquire about the specifics of the package.
The delivery person emphasized to her multiple times that the package was not damaged when it was delivered. “Then who sent this package?” Charlotte asked again, her face turning icy. “I can’t disclose that information,” the delivery person stated, refusing to tell her. Charlotte didn’t press further and simply hung up the phone. She wondered whether these dead cockroaches were a prank by the sender or if someone tampered with the package at this drop–off point.
“Student?” The administrator at the drop–off point looked at her with a complicated expression. “What do you want to do with this package?”
You’ve been here all along?” Charlotte’s eyes shifted, asking in a low tone.
“Yes.”
“Then, have you noticed anyone lingering near my package for an extended period?” Charlotte stared directly at the administrator, her expression unchanged.
“Uh, about that…” The administrator furrowed his brow, seemingly trying to recall. “There were a lot of people, and I can’t remember clearly..”
“Oh, right, there was one!” His eyes suddenly brightened, raising his voice. “There was a girl…”
A girl?
Charlotte instantly understood most of it, and continued to inquire, “What does she look like?” J
“She’s quite tall, wearing a short skirt, and she’s good–looking…”
“Is she from the Rocket class?” Charlotte had a general idea of who it might be.
“Yes, yes, yes!” The administrator nodded hurriedly.
“Thanks.” Charlotte coolly expressed her gratitude and then picked up the package and left.
She walked all the way to the Rocket class where Olivia was. A few students standing at the door scrutinized her from head to toe as they saw the unfamiliar face of Charlotte.
“From the regular class?” someone asked disdainfully.
Charlotte had no identification badges on her, so she could only be a regular class student.
“Why is someone from the regular class here? This is the Rocket class area…” someone sneered sarcastically. “Lower–class people, better go back to your regular class soon! This Is the Rocket class; it’s not a place for fun…”
Charlotte ignored these remarks, her expression cold and her gaze indifferent.
“I’m looking for Olivia Bellerose.”
Her voice was cold and indifferent, carrying a subtle sense of intimidation.
