All eyes were on Susan. Many of them wanted to kill Jake and his men immediately. After all, the North Moana Army had conquered so many cities and caused the World Universe to suffer.
However, Susan was their leader, so they were willing to listen to her decision.
Susan pondered and said, “Let’s tie them up and drag them out of the city to show them to Yang Jian.”
Susan looked calm, but it was not hard to spot the luster in her eyes.
She wanted to kill Jake and his men, but on second thought, if they showed everyone that they had managed to catch the intruders, it might lower the North Moana Army’s morale. The troops’ fighting spirit was essential when they faced their enemies in battle. The World Universe would have a greater chance of defending their land if the North Moana Army was low in spirit.
“Great!”
Chester nodded his approval with a smile and said, “That is a good idea.”
He was smart, so he could figure Susan’s intention at once.
Everyone else also nodded in agreement.
A few minutes later, Jake and his men were dragged out of the city and tied to the wooden stakes that faced the North Moana camp.
In the big tent within the North Moana camp…
Yang Jian frowned. He was looking at the sand table in front of him, and he felt very anxious. Zhang Jue, next to him, seemed calm, but his expression was solemn.
‘Jake and the others had been out all night, and there had not been an update from them.’
‘Was their mission exposed? Did they get caught?’
“Report—”
A soldier ran in and knelt with a thump. “Your Majesty, Military Adviser, something terrible has happened. The Carter family caught General Jake and the others, and now they are tied to some stakes outside the city…”
‘What?’
Yang Jian was surprised and angry to hear that. “Is it true?”
“It’s true!” the soldier replied cautiously; he was sweating profusely.
Yang Jian did not say anything else; he quickly walked out of the tent, and Zhang Jue followed suit.
