The Ultimate Husband (Darryl and Lily Lyndon) novel Chapter 3921

Chapter 3921

After speaking, Kendall paused briefly before continuing. "That ancient poisonous centipede is a lot bigger than it was recorded in history. My plan is simple—let the ancient poisonous centipede out, then lure it to the Heavenly Alliance as well as the path the Carter family frequented."

"If that happens, the Heavenly Alliance, as well as the Carter family, are sure to get into a fight with the ancient poisonous centipede. The second they come into contact with its venom, they will become manic and lose control!"

Kendall's tone sounded deadly serious. Yet her gaze seemed distracted, flitting in a complicated manner.

That was the perfect plan to stop the Heavenly Alliance and the Carter family, albeit a considerably inhumane one. There had never been any antidote for the ancient poisonous centipede. If a victim got poisoned with its venom, they would also infect other people.

In other words, the venom of the ancient poisonous centipede was contagious to terrifying extents. Even the Five-Poison Sect members specialized in the spreading and curing poisons would be powerless against it, becoming helplessly infected as well.

That was why Kendall was hesitant to proceed with the plan. Yes, it would ward off the Heavenly Alliance and the Carter family.

However, if the venom were to spread and make its way to the Nine Mainland, there would be bloodshed. Kendall and Skylar would be labeled as murderers for the rest of their lives.

"Hmm..."

Then, Skylar nodded, seeming to have drawn a conclusion from her pondering. "Alright, we'll go with that plan."

Skylar knew the consequences of letting the ancient poisonous centipede out and the bloodshed that would come with it. Yet, there was no other choice but to risk it for Archfiend Antigonus' safety.

Finally, night arrived.

A horde of people could be seen charging forward in a canyon about fifty meters away from the Five Poison Sect altar, clad in all black, it was clear they were the Heavenly Alliance members.

At the forefront of the horde was Cayden, mounted on a horse and wielding a long saber looking nothing but majestic.

Since Rogart's passing, Cayden had not stopped showing himself to Grunt. That was clearly effective, as Grunt had seemed to favor him increasingly. Upon finding out that Skylar was hiding in the Five Poison Sect, Cayden had volunteered to go there, with Grunt's agreement, he had led hundreds of thousands of skilled practitioners to the Five Poison Sect. The main goal was, of course, to ambush Skylar.

A smaller army of people was not far behind the Heavenly Alliance horde—the Carter family.

Chester had received the news about half a day ago. He concluded that Skylar was indeed hidden in the Five Poison Sect and had called upon Ambrose to bring their men there.

"Uncle Chester!"

Ambrose fought to keep his rage down. "Didn't Cayden go to the Carter family with Grunt to show off? Now that we're bumping into him here, don't you think some revenge is due?"

Ambrose cast a ferocious glare to the Heavenly Alliance ahead of them.

Chester let out a soft sigh. Then, he said, "Ambrose, you have to calm down. The rivalry we have with the Heavenly Alliance runs deep. Revenge will have to be taken eventually, for sure. Right now, we need to locate Skylar Blanc."

"You must know what it means if the Archfiend Antigonus leaves the Devil Sealed Mirror. There will be nothing but disaster and bloodshed, and the Nine Mainland will turn into a living hell. We must look at the bigger picture—we must find Skylar Blanc first."

Ambrose inhaled sharply at his words.

Simultaneously, a cry rang through the group of Heavenly Alliance members in front of them.

"Guardian!"

One of the skilled practitioners rushed forward; he wanted to gain favor from Cayden. "The Carter family is following US. They must be here to seek revenge on the Heavenly Alliance for what happened to Dax Sanders' wife! It turns out they can't even make a move."

The other practitioners nearby snickered, laughing at what he had just said.
