Shortly after, various sects across the land had responded to Chester's request for assistance by sending over help. Sects that helped included the Elixir Sect, the Famed Sword Manor and the Westrington Sect to name a few.

Aside from that, the Senior Divine Farmer, Zhu Bajie and Chang Er had also rushed over to help upon hearing the news.

The sects gathered at the hill a little over fifty li away from the Five Poison Sect. There were about a few hundred thousand men in total. From afar they looked grand, but everyone's faces were nothing but solemn.

The hill was a few thousand meters away from the canyon one had to pass to get to the Five Poison Sect. The canyon was currently enveloped in the poisonous fog, deathly silent. There was not the slightest sign of life detected— it felt like a ghost town.

At the entrance of the canyon lay the ginormous figure of the ancient poisonous centipede. It was currently curled into itself, taking a brief nap.

Around it, throngs of people staggered about. Their skin shone a deep green and their gazes were completely hollow, yet sinister at the same time. They looked like walking zombies.

These people were those that had been infected— Cayden and his men from the Heavenly Alliance.

At the scene that greeted them, all the sect superiors gulped internally.

It was a terrifying sight, not unlike one you would see in hell. The most chilling thought of them all was that once infected by the centipede's poison you would lose control of your thoughts.
