Chapter 3929

The servants exchanged knowing looks with each other, smiling.

One of them spoke up. "Honored General, you must have not heard the news yet! Her Majesty Princess Dorothy is going to marry. The grand wedding will be in two days."

A grand wedding?

Grunt's body jerked in shock. He felt a dull ringing in his brain.

How could this be?

Grunt's brain was in a total state of confusion.

He had yet to confess to the Princess, but he was sure Princess Dorothy had feelings for him. Also, he had never heard her speak of someone else she had had her eyes on.

What was the deal with this sudden grand wedding?

Seeing Grunt's stunned expression, the servants did not place too much thought into it and carried on with their tasks.

Grunt finally managed to snap back to reality, panic slowly flooding his senses. He had half a mind to burst into Princess Dorothy's chambers there and then.

"General, please stay back!"

At the entrance of the chambers, the guards outside halted Grunt in his steps.

Grunt's anxiety was crawling by the second. He roared, "You dare stop me?"

The head servant scurried forward, her expression one of pure discomfort. "His Majesty has ordered that no one is allowed to see the Princess before her grand wedding. Honored General, please don’t make this difficult for US."

The frustration in Grunt's chest was unspeakable. Yet all he could do was suppress his anger, turning and rushing off to the Imperial Sky Palace.

It was timely enough that just then, the Nine Heaven Emperor was in the Imperial sky Palace discussing with numerous officials regarding the grand wedding.

"Alright then!"

Seeing as everything was in order, the Nine Heaven Emperor waved his hands. "Make sure nothing goes wrong during Dorothy's grand wedding. Off you go!"

"Yes, your Majesty!"

The officials acknowledged their orders, proceeding to leave the palace.

Right after they had gone, Grunt came rushing in. He got onto his knees. "Grunt is at your service, Your Majesty."

Grunt's form was poised with respect, yet his eyes had an unreadable expression to them. On his way to the Imperial sky Palace, Grunt had found out through eavesdropping that the groom Princess Dorothy was going to be wed to was none other than Darryl Darby.

This left Grunt in surprise and fury.

Darryl Darby had killed Rogart, openly betraying the Godly Region. Now he had taken Grunt's beloved Princess Dorothy as well? There was no way he was going to let this slide.

At the sight of Grunt, the Nine Heaven Emperor frowned in displeasure. "Grunt, what brings you here again?"

Again?

Grunt froze lightly, brows knitted in confusion, what did His Majesty mean by again? This was the first time he had returned since his departure from the nine Mainlands. 2

The confused look on Grunt's face only made the Nine Heaven Emperor all the more enraged, "why do you look so lost? I had ordered for you to fetch the glazed water and hurry back to the nine Mainlands! Have you dallied this whole time and not gotten to it at all?"

Grunt was properly confused at the emperor's words now.

Thankfully Grunt had the sense to guess quickly enough that someone had stolen his golden armor, and taken on his identity to meet with the Nine Heaven Emperor in the Godly Region.

Also, this person was undoubtedly Darryl.

This only further fanned the flames of fury in Grunt's heart. Deciding to take a risk, he used up all his courage to say, "Your Majesty, I have gone and returned only to request of one thing."

The Nine Emperor spat coolly, "what is it?"
