The Ultimate Husband (Darryl and Lily Lyndon) novel Chapter 4102

Chapter 4102

Grunt took a deep breath as he scrambled to speak. "Let's not make rash decisions, Oliver.’

"What's it to you?’

Oliver smiled coldly, eyeing Grunt. "Are you going to let them go, General Grunt?"

Leia let out a breath of relief. At the same time, she glared at Grunt, disgust in her eyes.

What a b*stard! He had taken advantage of Darryl's weakness to attack him and Leia. Since Oliver had made his move, Grunt started to cower.

The Nine Heaven Emperor should be ashamed, having a subordinate so lowly.

Next to Leia, Darryl frowned.

Would Grunt and Oliver go that far? Would a fight break out between the two of them?

"Prince Oliver."

Just as Darryl pondered the situation, a smile appeared on Grunt's face. He called out to Oliver. "You want the girl? You can have her. I'll let her go for the sake of the bigger picture. I'm sure you know as well as I do that it's far more important to join forces to take down the fiends."

Grunt waved a hand at the soldiers by his side. "Go on, free Lady Leia."

"Yes, General."

The soldiers moved immediately, bringing Leia out.

Leia was overjoyed. Grunt was willing to make a compromise. There was help for her and Darryl, after all.

"Leia."

Oliver smiled as he rushed forward. "You weren't hurt too badly, were you? Don't be scared. You're alright now."

As he spoke, Oliver nodded at Grunt in secret gratitude.

Grunt had succumbed indeed, but that was also part of the plan. The goal had been for Oliver to appear more heroic and manly to Leia.

Yet, at Oliver's apparent passion, Leia did not seem too emotional. Instead, she calmed down quickly enough.

"Oliver."

Leia turned to point at Darryl, still in the cave. She said hurriedly, "Quick, get him to free Honorable Master Darby as well."

Leia had nothing but admiration and affection for Darryl. She had not forgotten that he was not out of danger yet.

Oliver nodded, speaking in a comforting tone. "Don't worry. I won't leave him behind." Oliver's face was the picture of solemnness, yet his eyes flashed with resentment.

That b*stard, Darryl Darby! Oliver could not have wished harder for his downfall. Why would he save Darryl at all?

Yet, Oliver turned to shout at Grunt in a falsely threatening tone. "General Grunt, since you've let Leia go, let Honorable Master Darby go as well."

As he spoke, he winked at Grunt.

Grunt was a cunning man. He understood Oliver's intentions instantly. He smirked coldly, voice firm as steel. "Letting Lady Leia go was already an act of great generosity. Don't push it."

Grunt cast a cold glance in Oliver's direction.
