The Ultimate Husband (Darryl and Lily Lyndon) novel Chapter 4137

Chapter 4137

The room fell silent; it was thick with tension.

The White Tiger King's face darkened further. He could hardly contain his anger. Mona was far too reckless and stubborn. Oliver was despicable, but he was still the Black Tortoise King's son.

If anything happened to him, the Black Tortoise King would never let it go!

The White Tiger King did not fear the Black Tortoise King at all. If anything, he was merely worried that the Demon tribe would return to the way it had been before, rife with internal battles.

"Absolutely idiotic."

The White Tiger King finally snapped back to his senses. He glared at Mona and roared, "How are you still so shameless after making such a big mistake? You shall go to the Black Tortoise King and apologize to him immediately!"

The White Tiger King's tone was a panicked one. His tone left no room for retaliation.

The only thing he could do was appease the Black Tortoise King to the best of his efforts, then send people to search for Oliver to make sure he was alive.

Apologize?

Mona jerked at the command, indignance written all over her face. "I did nothing wrong! Why should I have to apologize? Father, you are not scared of that old turtle, the Black Tortoise King, are you?"

The Black Tortoise was the ancestor of all turtles. Mona, out of pure insolence, had consistently called the Black Tortoise King an old turtle. She rarely used it in front of the White Tiger King but had blurted it out in her rage.

The White Tiger King snapped. He strode forward and slapped Mona.

It was a rage-filled slap.

"How dare you!" The White Tiger King's eyes were bloodshot with fury as he roared, "The Black Tortoise King has the same status as me, and he has done nothing but good for the Demon tribe. How dare you call him something so insulting?

"Oliver was wrong in his actions, but I've already banished him from the Demon tribe. That was enough punishment. You recklessly hunted him to take revenge and even cut his legs off. How dare you say you did nothing wrong?"

"Do you know your actions could lead to a rift between the White Tiger tribe and the Black Tortoise tribe? Who will suffer the consequences if an internal war breaks out or an attack from the fiend race or the Godly Region? You?"

The White Tiger King practically yelled the last of his words. His face was purple with rage.

Yet, Mona only bit her lips, unresponsive and devoid of any remorse.

"Mona."

Leia panicked. She walked forward, yanked Mona slightly, and whispered, ’ Don't anger Father any further. Suck it up and apologize, come on."

Leia had an unreadable expression on her face.

She was pretty touched that her sister had taken revenge on her behalf. She, too, found no fault in Mona's actions. Yet, it was also true that Oliver's life could affect the situation significantly. The Black Tortoise King was bound to be furious if he found out his son had died, and things might get heated between him and her father. That could result in the Demon tribe losing its harmonious state. There were other unthinkable consequences too.

Under those circumstances, she had no choice but to make her sister swallow her pride.

"I didn't do anything wrong."

Leia had not expected Mona would stand her ground so stubbornly. She continued to shake her head. She said, "You can save it, Leia. I didn't do anything wrong, and I'm sure as hell not going to apologize to the Black Tortoise King. In hindsight, I regret not killing Oliver once and for all."

Her words rendered Leia completely helpless.

Just then, a few figures rushed into the room. A man clad in silver and black robes, and emanated impossible power, led them. His expression looked positively murderous, and his eyes flashed with fury.

It was the Black Tortoise King.

The news of what happened to Oliver had spread like wildfire through the Demon tribe. When he heard that had happened, the Black Tortoise King had flown into a rage. He had flown to where Oliver had been attacked immediately with some of his men. However, when he arrived, Oliver was nowhere to be found, and all that was there was a patch of ground drenched in blood.

The Black Tortoise King had panicked as he searched the grounds nearby thoroughly, but he had found nothing. So, he rushed back to the new Demon territory, prepared to ask Mona what had happened.

"Where's my son?"

The Black Tortoise King could hardly contain his rage. He pointed at Mona and roared, "What did you do to him?"
