Chapter 4198

Whew!

Morticia exhaled softly. There was a suspicious expression on her delicate features. "How did Grunt appear out of nowhere on Mount Snowood?"

Morticia was confused.

Grunt was a powerful warrior, and for Oliver and Damon to have been able to kill him, even with their joint effort, was near impossible. Yet, that seemed to be the truth, and there was no point questioning it.

However, she was curious about Grunt's purpose there.

After all, Grunt was one of the Nine Heaven Emperor's most cherished subordinates. His sudden appearance on Mount Snowood could imply that Godly Region soldiers were following closely behind.

"Honorable Fiend Martyr."

Grunt's brain spun as he scrambled for an answer. He said, "We started attacking as soon as we saw each other. I'm not too sure why Grunt was at Mount Snowood either, but I think he may have sensed the vibrations coming from Mount Snowood and went to take a look at what was going on."

Grunt was a man who thought things through greatly. He was good at convincing people with the right methods and felt that the situation did not need an elaborated one.

Morticia nodded. She did not say anything further.

"Oliver."

Just then, Archfiend Antigonus, who had been silent the entire time, looked at Grunt as he spoke slowly, "Grunt is a man of great power in the Godly Region. You have avenged our defeat by killing him."

Archfiend Antigonus smiled faintly. "You have done a great deed, and for that, I shall appoint you as the Black Tortoise General. I hope you will do many more great things for the fiend race in the future."

Archfiend Antigonus did not know then that the man standing in front of him was not Oliver at all, but Grunt. 1

"Thank you, Honorable Archfiend."

Grunt was overwhelmed with joy as he scrambled to bow deeply.

There was unspeakable glee in his heart.

That Complete Takeover spell was handy, to the point where even the great Archfiend Antigonus could not tell the difference.

"Oh, that reminds me!"

A thought seemed to come to Archfiend Antigonus. He turned to look at Grunt and asked, "What else did you see on Mount Snowood aside from the battle that happened between you and Grunt? Why has there been a change in the skies?"

"Honorable Archfiend."

Grunt froze for a second before he said, "There are two huge statues next to Mount Snowood..." He proceeded to describe what he had seen with great detail.

Toward the end, Grunt was practically making things up as he spoke. "I'm guessing that otherworldly gods had probably created the two statues. No one else would have been able to create statues of such size in such a short time, let alone call upon a change in the skies."

Otherworldly gods?

Archfiend Antigonus frowned slightly. A thought seemed to come to him as his gaze sparkled.

Could it be the Jade Immortal?

Meanwhile...

"Wait up, Lute..."

Jade Immortal soared through the air with Princess Dorothy in tow, scrambling to catch up to Lute Belle.

Lute raised her eyebrows delicately. She landed gracefully and asked,' What is it?"

The Jade Immortal took a deep breath, holding out the Emerald Sky Pearl in his hand. "I think you should have this back."

Lute froze in confusion. "You've won it. Why don't you want it anymore?"

She cast a glance at Princess Dorothy. "Didn't you say you were going to rebuild her fairy soul? What happened to that? Are you giving up now?"

"How could I give up?"

Jade Immortal's expression was utterly solemn as he spoke. He shook his head. "I just don't think I won fair and square."
