Grunt finished explaining what had happened in a few minutes, unable to hide the anger on his face. "If it had not been for Darryl Darby, I would not have been hunted by His Majesty. Nor would I have had to come up with such a plan, using the Complete Takeover to possess this useless b*stard's body." 1

Grunt cast a gaze full of love and yearning toward Princess Dorothy as he spoke. "I know you loved me, Princess, and I do not wish to lie to you. It was my fault for abandoning you. Will you forgive me?

"When I send you back to the Imperial Sky Palace, I'll ask His Majesty for your hand in marriage. Since Darryl Darby is dead, no one will come between US again. Would you like that?"

Grunt's eyes were filled with expectation and affection as he said the last word.

Indeed, Grunt still wanted to return to the Imperial Sky Palace.

After he had taken over Oliver's body and spent a day in the fiend race, Grunt realized that living amongst the fiend race was a threat to his life and that he was better off taking his chances.

As long as Princess Dorothy would accept him, he would become Prince Consort upon returning to the palace. His future would be bright once again. There would be nothing but glory for him.

When she learned the truth, Princess Dorothy could not help the gaspthat escaped her as she stared speechless at Grunt.

A few seconds later, Princess Dorothy snapped back to her senses.

Several expressions flitted across her face. Finally, she raised her hand and brought it down heavily upon Grunt's face in a harsh slap.

That slap took up a great deal of Princess Dorothy's energy. It rang through the air as blood rushed to the surface of Grunt's cheek in the shape of a handprint.

'You shameless, good-for-nothing b*stard, Grunt. How dare you say those things to me?" Princess Dorothy was practically trembling with the rage that coursed through her veins, hatred flashing through her eyes. "I loved you so much. How could you treat me like that? I had mistaken Darryl Darby for you and gave myself to him. Do you know how it broke me to find out the truth? I wanted to die.

'Yet the thought of you gave me the strength to carry on. After that, I went to look for you in the Nine Mainland and saved you from the Hidden Hero Sect and told you the truth. I thought you would comfort me and be together with me happily from then on.

'Yet, when you found out that I had lost my purity, you lied to me about your feelings. You said that you loved me, but you had long thrown me to the side. You even knocked me unconscious to hand me over to Master Magaera. Then you had him bring me back to the Godly Region to get married.

'You abandoned, and now you are here because you don't have anywhere else to go. How dare you still say you love me? Are you not ashamed?"

Princess Dorothy could hardly contain her emotions as her rage grew. She lost control completely. She roared, "Get away from me. I never wish to see you again. Not for the rest of my life. I no longer care about you, dead or alive."

In the face of Princess Dorothy's cold, ruthless words of fury, the smile on Grunt's face froze as his face grew ashen.

'F*ck! So much for trying to help you. I got my ass handed to me instead.'

Grunt lost control. He lashed out and struck back.

The blow was one Princess Dorothy had not prepared for at all. She fell backward with a dull hum and landed heavily on the ground.

She stared at Grunt in shock and fury. "You dare hit me?"

'You shameless sl*t." Grunt's true colors finally came out as his gaze hardened further. "I wanted to help you, only for you to treat me like this. Who do you think you are? Nothing more than a useless wh*re tainted by that Darryl Darby. How dare you act all high and mighty in front of me?"

Grunt drew closer as he spoke. His gaze grew icy as he looked Princess Dorothy up and down.
