The Ultimate Husband (Darryl and Lily Lyndon) novel Chapter 4205

Chapter 4205

He was clad in black armor. He seemed impossibly majestic, if not for the two false limbs attached to his pelvis that stuck out like sore thumbs.

It was Grunt, disguised as Oliver.

Princess Dorothy’s chest froze with fear. She struggled to keep a calm expression on her face, but her body could not stop trembling!

How did that fiend find her so quickly?

She was done for.

"Your Highness."

Grunt flashed a smile as he spoke in a comforting tone. "Don't worry. I'm not going to hurt you." His eyes flashed with an unreadable glint.

Grunt had been greatly stricken when he had first found out that Darryl had taken Princess Dorothy's purity and that they were to be married as well. He had fallen into a state of utmost grief, swearing that he would never pine for her anymore after that.

However, when he stood face to face with Princess Dorothy, the feelings Grunt had tried so hard to contain had come rushing back to the surface once again.

"I..."

When she sensed Grunt's demeanor, Princess Dorothy's expression was one of mockery. "I know you. You're the Black Tortoise King's son, aren't you? What do you want?"

Princess Dorothy's face flashed with hostility and wariness.

Grunt sized her up. He inched closer and said, "I just said I would not hurt you, Princess. If you believe me, let me send you back to the Imperial Sky Palace."

Grunt's eyes were full of expectation.

Grunt's original plan had been to seize Princess Dorothy and bring her back

to Archfiend Antigonus. However, the sight of her flooded him with the affection he had felt in the past, and Grunt found himself unable to do something so harsh.

He had thought it through-he would send Princess Dorothy back to the Imperial Sky Palace as the Black Tortoise King's son. He had, after all, taken over his identity and knew his presence would not threaten his life.

What?

Princess Dorothy froze in shock. She frowned and stared at Grunt. "You want to send me back to the Imperial Sky Palace?" Despite the look of great wariness on her face, she could not hide her glee.

"That's right!" Grunt nodded firmly.

Princess Dorothy's eyebrows relaxed, and she calmed down as her demeanor became casually defensive. "I don't know you at all. Why are you helping me? Do you have ulterior motives?’

She had gone through so much, so she would no longer trust people so easily anymore.

She did not know that the 'Black Tortoise King's was Grunt, the man she had so dearly loved before.

"Your Highness!"

Grunt felt torn when Princess Dorothy did not believe him. He said, "I may appear to be loyal to the fiend race, but it's an act. I've only joined the fiend race as a spy to scout for intel.

"We may not know each other, but we have the same enemy. You must trust me."

The more he appeared to defend himself, the less Princess Dorothy trusted him. She shook her head. "It's fine. I don't need your help. All you have to do is leave and pretend you never saw me. I'll be grateful enough for that.’

Princess Dorothy turned to leave, planning to take the long route around the cliff.

Grunt grew desperate. He walked forward in giant strides and grabbed Princess Dorothy's arm. "I'm serious about trying to help you. If you leave now, you'll get caught by the fiends."
