The Ultimate Husband (Darryl and Lily Lyndon) novel Chapter 4984

Mahoney nodded in agreement and gestured for everyone to be cautious.

Swoosh!

At that instance, a pillar of fire gushed from beneath the first man, that man had no chance to react before he got burned into a pile of ash.

"Argh…"

The rest of the men were lit up by fire as they cried out in pain and jumped around in an attempt to put out the fire, however, some of them had stepped on the other steeles by accident.

Whoosh…

A few more pillars of flames gushed out, swallowing some of the men from the Red Shirt Crusade. The flames went out and revealed a few bodies that had been charred unrecognizable.

Mahoney and the rest of his me gulped nervously, their faces were filled with pure terror.

The traps went from arrows to now pillars of flames, they dared not to imagine what they might encounter next.

Mahoney was terrified and infuriated, he looked at Darryl coldly and asked, "Didn't you mention arrows? Why did it become flames?"

D*mn, did that fella really know anything about the traps? He was just assuming, wasn't he?

Darryl raised his shoulders and said innocently, "These hidden traps are hard to predict, Master Mahoney. It seemed like they changed the mechanism once again, let me reinvestigate."

Darryl then pointed out a new path.

Mahoney was furious and wanted to lecture Darryl, but he knew he still needed Darryl's help to get out of the plaza and had no choice but to swallow his anger once more.

Pfft…

Kendra could not help but laughed upon seeing that as she followed them from behind.

Darryl was such a sly man, he purposely killed some of Mahoney's men off as they proceeded, but Mahoney could not do anything as he still needed Darryl to lead him out.

Kendra had finally understood Darryl's intention, she was impressed but at the same time had thought os something.

Darryl frowned upon sensing Mahoney's anger and smiled forcibly, "what are you saying, Master Mahoney?"

Mahoney did not hesitate and spat, "I'm asking you if you've been purposefully leading my men to their deaths?"

"Woah!" Darryl was shocked and defended himself saying, "That's not true at all, Master Mahoney. As I mentioned earlier, we're a team, why would I betray you? On top of that, what good do I gain from betraying you?"

Still denying?

Mahoney was not that big of a fool, Darryl had lost his trust now completely and he was about to attack.

Just then, Darryl seemed to have found something and pointed at a short distance away, "Master Mahoney, look, treasure…"

Swoosh!

Mahoney and the rest of the Red Shirt Crusade looked at his direction and froze.
