Swoosh!
Goliry was embarrassed when she heard his question and growled, "None of your business!"
She refused to tell him that Andres had drugged her because it was too embarrassing.
Darryl was speechless, and he said bitterly, "Okay, I shouldn't have asked. But, to be clear, we have no grudges against each other, and since I rescued you from the cave, you should let me go."
Goliry's face was cold.
All she wanted to do was get the drug out of her system; she did not have time to discuss it with Darryl.
Uh…
Darryl shook his head, feeling awkward. "So I will take that as a yes. I am going to leave if nothing else requires my assistance."
Goliry was so frustrated and uttered, "F*ck off now."
D*mn…
Darryl could not decide whether to laugh or cry. 'She was still arrogant in times like this; what a feisty woman. That is fine; you can stay here as long as you want, and I will go back.'
Darryl was about to turn around and leave…
Then, he heard Goliry's low moan. She was moaning in pain.
'What's going on?'
Darryl stopped and turned to look at Goliry again; he gasped and was utterly shocked.
Goliry was curled up on the ground. Her beautiful face was filled with pain.
When Darryl turned around to leave, Goliry forced her internal energy out to expel the drug, but that did not work. It even quickened the drug's effect.
'F*ck, what's happening?'
