The Ultimate Husband (Darryl and Lily Lyndon) novel Chapter 5189

"It's… It's not that I don't like you, but I just want to stay with Master for a few more years, and I don't intend to get married for the time being, so don't take this the wrong way. My rejection has nothing to do with Darryl. I hope you understand, Senior Brother."

Gigi's voice became incredibly soft as she uttered the last two sentences. She mumbled, and her voice could not be heard. Her entire body also became stiff.

Gigi felt bad for rejecting Vincent so directly after knowing him for many years. She thought she would take that chance to explain herself.

However, the more Gigi explained, the more Vincent believed she had fallen in love with somebody else.

Vincent did not express his feelings. Instead, he pretended to be understanding and comforted Gigi with a smile.

"Gigi, don't say that. I was too abrupt earlier. Plus, marriage is a big thing. I also think I should've discussed this with you first. It wasn't right to decide on my own and ask Master to propose the marriage."

Hearing that, Gigi felt relieved, and she put on a bright smile. "Vincent, now that I've heard it from you, I don't have to worry anymore."

As Gigi spoke, suddenly, she felt something was wrong. Her body shuddered, and she held her forehead. She felt dizzy, and she could not even sit properly.

However, Gigi remained calm. 'This hangover soup works so quickly.'

Vincent told Gigi that there would be dizziness and fatigue for people drinking the hangover soup for the first time. She trusted him very much and never thought he would lie to her.

Little did Gigi know that she had been tricked by Vincent.

'Haha…'

Looking at Gigi feeling dizzy, Vincent felt inexplicably excited, but on the outside, he pretended to be concerned. "Gigi, was it the hangover soup? Come, I'll help you to rest."

As he spoke, he was about to walk up to help her.

However, Gigi shook her head and said, "It's okay. You may return to your room. I'm fine."

Though her head was not clear, she insisted on her principles. After all, it was inappropriate for a man and a woman to be in the same room together.
