At the thought, Darryl calmed down before exploring the area around him.
Oh?
Upon walking a few minutes, Darryl stopped. He could faintly hear a chaotic noise from a near distance. It was none other than the sect pupils from before.
"Let's hurry up."
"We can't touch anything as we please without the Alliance Master's orders."
"Be careful of any traps."
Darryl frowned as he followed quietly.
Quickly enough, they turned into a street. All that could be seen were many sect elites gathered, and their leader was the sect master of the True Flame Sect, Adam Bedford.
Not far away from the crowd was a large building. It had three stories, radiating an aura of solemness as it was lit from the inside, quiet like the other buildings around here.
The building was located in the center of the city.
Darryl did not show himself. Instead, he hid in a corner.
Darryl was a lot more at ease when they left. He had thought it through; he would not have to do much exploring but just follow those people in secret.
The crowd quickly split up to explore the building under Adam's instructions. Upon confirming that nothing was off, they barged in immediately.
"Is anyone in there?"
"Hey, there's a girl in here. How strange… Why would a lady be in this place after it's been abandoned for so long? Something must be up."
"Quick, seize her!"
As the cries blared, the building fell into chaos.
A girl?
"Uhh… This is where I live. My father built this building."
She was too young, and she said the first thing that came to her mind without considering the dangers of the world.
Whoa.
Just as the words rang through the air, the building fell into an uproar as the sect elites were beside themselves with shock.
"What did she say? Her father built this place?"
"This must be some secret location in the Heavenly Secret Place. She must know about the treasures here. We're going to be rich!"
The crowd could not help but laugh as the discussions grew. None of them could hide their glee.
Adam smiled as well, striding over slowly and saying to Lindsey, "Since you live here little miss, could you tell us what treasures this place holds? Like secret scrolls or weapons of the kind."
Adam appeared calm as he asked the question, but his gaze flashed with expectation.
