Seeing Adam looking friendly, unlike the others who were aggressive, Lindsey calmed down and shook her head with determination.
"I… I will never tell you."
Then, Lindsey took a look around and rebuked the crowd. "All of you barged into my house like pirates. All you bad guys, leave now, or else… or else I won't be courteous."
Though Lindsey was still young and she was still a girl, she had a strong character, and she would not compromise on her principles.
To her, though the underground city had never seen the light of day like an ancient underground tomb, it was built by her father, and so, it was home to her. Therefore, when trespassers barged into her home, she ought to chase them out.
'Wow!'
Immediately, everyone was shocked, and they were furious.
"Little girl, how dare you scold us?"
"You're still young, and you're pretty hot-tempered. How dare you call us pirates?"
"You have no idea what you're getting yourself into. Tie her up and torture her. I don't believe a little girl would be able to cause a riot."
The people shouted and geared up as they discussed how to punish Lindsey. Each of them looked vicious, and they had lost the demeanor of elites of sects.
Adam remained silent and secretly furrowed his brows.
'D*mn it!'
At the same time, Darryl, who hid under the eaves, also silently frowned. He felt embarrassed for the way those people behaved.
'These people are considered famous among the community. How shameful of them to bully a little girl.'
As he muttered, he prepared to rush down. Though he was not related to Lindsey, he could not bear to watch all that happened before him any longer.
