The Ultimate Husband (Darryl and Lily Lyndon) novel Chapter 5283

"No…"

Seeing the bloodshot gaze on Ambrose thoroughly scared the servant, and she shook her head in terror. "I didn't. It's just normal water."

Ambrose still wanted to ask further, but Veron stopped him.

Veron roared out loud, unable to hide the disdain in her gaze. "Ambrose Darby! The deed's been done, and the results are out. You can't deny this anymore. You said that the blood match wouldn't add up? Well, take a look at this."

Veron took out the hospital papers and threw them at Ambrose as she said the final word.

Genetic testing?

Ambrose frowned, catching the papers in one move and taking a good look at them.

At the same time, everyone else, including Chester, Dax, and the rest, inched closer. All that could be seen at the bottom were the results clear as day.

'Genetic Match, 99%'

"If you said something was wrong with the blood match, would hospital results lie?"

What?

A thought seemed to come to Ambrose as he roared at Veron, "Did Cody Lange ask for my hair that night to do genetic testing with it?"

As he spoke the words, Ambrose could hardly contain his rage.

That bastard Cody appeared honest and loyal on the surface, but was actually such a cunning bastard behind closed doors.

Veron was nothing but smug at the look on Ambrose's face.

"Don't you hate Cody so much right now? Well, there's no point to your hatred. He was acting on my orders. He'll find a way to do whatever I ask him to, no matter what it takes. If you're looking for someone to blame, you can pin it all on me."

Veron's expressions were immediately schooled into a pleasing smile, but her gaze flashed venomously.

It rang through the hall, dead silence ensuing.

Everyone was shocked. Heather had always given off an image of gentleness, and was someone who never got angry or even raised her voice.

Especially to Ambrose, she was nothing but gentle, yet she had slapped him.

Veron smirked coldly following the silence, staring at Heather with a crazed smile.

"Tsk, tsk. Are you finally showing your true colors? Are you angry just because Ambrose couldn't keep your little secret, and now you're purity's tainted?"

Heather paid her no mind, staring at Ambrose expressionlessly as her eyes brimmed with tears.

Ambrose's chest ached at the look on her face as his head throbbed with confusion, uncaring of his stinging cheek.

"Heather! What's the matter?"
