As he spoke, the pupil was drenched in sweat as he was unable to hide his emotions.
Whoa…
As the words rang through the air, the room grew abuzz with voices as everyone, including Rachelle and the officials, were filled with excitement.
"It has to be the Sect Master…"
"I knew it! The Sect Master's so powerful. There's no way anything bad will happen to him."
Amidst the excitement in the room, Rachelle hurried to call for everyone to gather. "Quick, gaher the pupils at once and head to the place where the firework was set off."
"Yes, Holy Nun."
A few minutes later, the thousands of True Flame Sect elites gathered. Under Rachelle's lead, they headed to where the fireworks had gone off.
All along the way, Rachelle was incredibly panicked as she urged everyone to speed up as much as they could.
If it had happened a month ago, Rachelle would have hardly been as nervous. It was important to note that Adam had mastered the Art of Grand Brightness just two months ago, and he had made no secret of it. It was only when he faced up against Darryl that he realized that there were more powerful beings than him.
That was why Rachelle had been so worried. It was possible that her Senior Brother had run into Darryl again, and it was why he had sent out the firework signal to get help.
Finally, after an hour, Rachelle and the rest finally arrived at the spot where the firework signal had gone off.
At the sight that greeted them, Rachelle and the rest were in shock.
All that could be seen were the remains of what once seemed to be a cliff, leaving behind chaos within a thousand-meter radius. On top of that, there were obvious traces that a battle had broken out.
It was obvious that a fierce fight had just gone down there.
At the sight, Rachelle bit her lip, worried sick for Adam's wellbeing as she ordered the crowd immediately. "Quick! Look around for the Sect Master."
"Got it!"
The crowd spread out immediately, launching into a search.
It was not long before someone discovered something, and cried out panickedly, "Quick, quick! The Sect Master's here."
Not dead?
At the words, everyone present stopped short as they stared at Rachelle in shock.
The Sect Master's acupoint had been fatally wounded, and he was no longer breathing. How could he not be dead?
"Enough!"
Rachelle could not be bothered to explain, for she could vaguely see the tiny flames appearing in and out of Adam's skin. She knew instantly that it was the Art of Grand Brightness in action, and ordered the crowd immediately, "Stop your standing around! The Sect Master's not dead yet. Quick, set up camp nearby and stand guard around us. Let no one near."
To tell the truth, Rachelle wanted nothing more than to find out who was behind Adam's tragic state. However, what was most important was saving Adam's life.
At the order, the crowd did not dare to delay in the slightest as they began to source whatever materials they could find, rapidly building a giant tent before carefully placing Adam in it.
Following that, several pupils stood around it to stand guard.
Rachelle sat silently by Adam's side in the tent, unable to hide the worry in her exquisite features. Despite knowing that Adam had summoned the Art of Grand Brightness to have him reborn, it was a move that no one in the True Flame Sect had been able to master in the past thousand years. It was unclear whether Adam would succeed at doing so.
