Rachelle flushed at Zhu's straightforwardness, saying in an annoyed tone, "Hey, watch your words! I'm not his daughter."
Rachelle was nothing but irked as she spoke.
This man was extremely handsome, but was just like Darryl in his playfulness and lack of regard for decorum.
Speak of birds of a feather.
Not his daughter?
Zhu stopped short at the words, before beaming at Rachelle. "Have you got a master, little girl? I could be your master, you know! I'm pretty skilled.
Despite this girl being plenty young, she seemed like a pretty good candidate to be his pupil.
This man sure was shameless.
Just then, Rachelle frowned in discomfort.
To think that Darryl could be friends with someone like this! It appeared that she had judged him far too kindly.
F*cking hell…
Darryl did not know whether to laugh or cry at the situation, rushing to say to Zhu, "She's mine, Brother Zhu. None of your little jokes, please."
Darryl knew Zhu all too well, and was certain that Rachelle was as good as doomed if she were to really become his pupil.
What?
Zhu stopped short at the words, before returning to his senses a few seconds later and giving Darryl a thumbs-up. "You're really quite something, Brother Darryl. A child bride, huh? I must say I've met my match."
Darryl huffed in exasperation and amusement.
What was up with Zhu, really?
At the thought, Darryl scrambled to clear the air. "You've got it all wrong, Brother Zhu. She's not a child bride! She took a pill by accident, and that regressed her into a child."
As he spoke, Darryl quickly explained to Zhu what had happened.
"Zhu!"
Just then, a displeased shout from the Divine Farmer came ringing out from the backyard. "How much longer are you going to be here for? What's all this noise about now?"
Just as the words rang through the air, the Divine Farmer walked out of the main hall. He was holding a few herbs in his hands, his face laced with fatigue and impatience.
Ever since he had rescued Dax, the Divine Farmer had returned to where he had been living in seclusion to research all that he could about the poisonous blood and had yet to rest.
Sensing his displeasure, Zhu scratched his head and whined, "We're friends, aren't we? Why do you keep trying to kick me out?"
Just then, Darryl tugged Rachelle forward before smiling. "Hello, Elder Divine Farmer."
"Darryl?"
The Divine Farmer startled at Darryl's presence. "What are you doing here?" he asked, taking in the sight of Rachelle.
Darryl flashed a pained smile. "There's something I need your help with." As he spoke, he began to describe what had happened to Rachelle in detail.
