Loona had been poisoned too deeply, and she could not wake up in a short amount of time.
What…
Monna trembled at the sight as she cried out in terror, "What happened to her, Darryl?"
Darryl smiled stiffly. "The poison got to her. She's hallucinating."
Monna let out a sigh of relief internally at the response. Thank goodness she had listened to Darryl and blocked off her Chimi acupoint, or she would have been greatly embarrassed, just like Loona.
Darryl strode over with Loona in tow. "Loona, wake up! I'm not your father."
He was about to take his arm out of Loona's grasp as he spoke, but Loona refused to let go, wrapping her arms around Darryl's waist and holding on for dear life.
Monna grew with worry at the sight of Loona's worsening condition. "What are we going to do, Darryl?"
"Don't worry!"
Darryl replied Monna comfortingly. He glanced around him, and his gaze landed on the Blood Fungi that Loona had just plucked.
"Give her a bite of the Blood Fungi."
The smell of the Blood Fungi was enough to keep the poison in the weeds contained, which meant they would help with Loona's situation.
Monna hurried to pick up one of the Blood Fungi, cleaning off a segment and popping it into Loona's mouth. Loona was in a state of delirium, so she chomped blindly.
Darryl had guessed right. The Blood Fungi was the antidote to the poisonous fog. Loona took a bite and began to tremble shortly before her mind cleared up.
Monna let out a sigh of relief at the sight, a smile appearing on her face. "She's alright! That was a close call."
"What's going on?"
Loona's face was filled with nothing but confusion. She then noticed that she was in Darryl's arms, and her face flushed in shame in an instant.
Loona hurriedly wrenched herself out of Darryl's grasp. "You… You were taking advantage of me again, you bastard! I'm not going to let you off this time."
To think that her purity had been tainted again by lying in Darryl's arms and that the Empress had been around to see it too. What an embarrassment! How could she look anyone in the eye after that?
A few seconds later, Loona bit her lip as she said in a low voice, "I'm sorry I blamed you on accident."
Darryl smiled, waving a hand. "That's alright. Come on, we'd better be getting on our way. It's getting late."
As he spoke, he put away the Blood Fungi before continuing on his path with Monna and Loona.
…
Bowen was tied to a pole in the palace dungeon at the Raksasa tribe grounds, soaked and pale.
Tyson sat before him, clad in fine robes. Next to him were two of his ferocious-looking men.
Bowen had been unable to keep himself up outside and had keeled over. Following that, Tyson had upended an entire bucket of cold water over him to wake him up.
Tyson picked up the Sunset Bow, his finger stroking the back of the bow softly as he said, "You there! How do you activate the bow? Tell me the truth, and I'll make your death less painful."
Bowen had the weapon on him but did not know how to use it. Anyone would be infuriated by the situation.
