"Ho ho…"
Tyson stood looking Veron up and down, calling out to Bowen mockingly. "You've got some luck to have such a pretty woman looking out for you. It's a shame she's going to die soon."
As he spoke, Tyson stroked the Sunset Bow before saying, "Tell me how to activate the bow if you don't want your darling girl dying here. This is your last chance."
The blow he had cast was not fatal, as he was planning to use Veron to blackmail Bowen.
F*ck!
Bowen clenched his fists, hardly able to believe his anger.
Was Tyson even human, using Ninth Lady to threaten him…
Yet amidst his rage, Bowen began to hesitate at the frail look on Veron's face. He might as well tell Tyson, right? Ninth Lady had saved his life twice, and he could not watch her die here…
At the thought, Bowen took a deep breath as he looked at Tyson. "Will you keep your promise?"
"Of course!" Tyson smiled.
Whew!
Bowen took a deep breath. He was about to speak when Veron cut him off.
"No, don't."
Veron bit her lip anxiously, shouting at Bowen, "Don't be an idiot! Even if you tell him, he's not going to let me go!"
As she spoke, Veron glowered furiously at Tyson. "To hell with you, bastard!" As the words rang through the air, Veron soared forward as she drew her long sword once again to pierce it in Tyson's direction.
The surrounding black armored army riders crowded forward at the sight.
Yet Tyson waved a hand, his expression nothing but mocking. "No, no. This lady from the Nine Continents can't hurt me."
All his efforts were going to go to waste if his men were to accidentally kill Veorn.
Tyson had thought it through. He was going to torture Veron right before Bowen's eyes, and that was surely going to make him confess how to activate the bow.
Veron flashed him a smile weakly. "That's the big guy I know."
"Very well!"
Tyson's expression grew murderous at the sight. "Since you have a death wish, Bowen, I'll grant it for you! I'll kill your darling girl first and then torture you to death."
As the words rang through the air, Tyson exploded once again as he cast a fierce blow toward Veron!
Veron saw the incoming blow grow closer and closer, and the smile on her face was laced with hopelessness.
It was moving far too fast, and she was not going to be able to dodge it.
Veron turned to Bowen and smiled gently. "I'm going now, big guy."
"No!"
Just then, Bowen's eyes grew bloodshot as he lost his voice completely. He could clearly sense that Veron was extremely weak then, and she would be dead if she took another blow for sure.
