As a result of letting the news ferment, share prices for both Grant Corporation and Pristine Group fell lower and lower.
I looked at Theo, who was still calm in his seat, and sighed. I pulled out the chair opposite him and sat down. I wanted to have a good chat with him. "Theo, this is not a solution. Even if you don't care about Grant Corporation’s share price, Nibel does. Have you figured out how to deal with this?”
The moment I said this, Keith's voice sounded from outside the door. “President Grant, President Lane. Mr. Nibel is here."
Here came condemnation.
I looked at Theo with a worried expression. "Here he comes.”
"Don't worry." Theo took my hand and patted it. There was not a trace of panic on his handsome face.
He was being way too calm now.
After Keith retreated, Nibel entered. His expression was none too good, and his blue pupils were full of sternness.
Nibel strode into the office, and Theo stood up to greet him with a smile on his lips. "Mr. Nibel, long time no see."
"You gave me such a big surprise after we haven’t seen each other for a few days, President Grant,” Nibel replied ruthlessly. He walked over to the edge of the sofa and dropped himself into it so hard that we could very obviously tell his anger.
I glanced at Theo. He was walking up to Nibel, still smiling before then pouring him a cup of tea. "Mr. Nibel, do drink some tea to ease your anger.”
Seeing him accept the tea, Theo and I sat down one after another.
Nibel only took a sip before putting it back down. "It's been two days since the news of the counterfeits broke out, yet you haven’t made a move, President Grant. You just issued an announcement saying that you’ll bear the responsibility on the same day but gave no follow-up. What’s your reason for this?”
Before we could respond, Nibel continued, "Because of your lack of action, Pristine’s share price has been falling continuously for the past two days. How are we supposed to bear the losses?”
