hapter 162 Lucy’s Contemptuous Gaze Was Oddly Thrilling
Turner’s eyes were locked on the motorcycle. He tried to catch a glimpse of her face. But the motorcycle tore down the road like black streaks of lightning, leaving him in the dust within seconds.
Instinctively, he slammed on the gas, but before he could close the gap, a deafening roar of engines erupted from behind.
Six or seven motorcycles shot past him like shadows, taking over the entire road and leaving no room to maneuver
Turner sighed and eased off the gas. Watching the reckless bikers speed away, he thought, ‘Maybe I’m just overthinking this.
‘Hazel’s daughter is close to Camila, after all. There’s no way she’d be mixed up with these guys. Maybe it’s just a coincidence they’re wearing similar outfits.
With that thought, Turner gave up the chase, slowed down, and let the motorcycle gang disappear into the distance.
Daniel sped ahead, his movements fluid and confident. Leaning slightly forward, he gripped the handlebars firmly, and his helmet revealed only a pair of bright, excited eyes that sparkled with exhilaration,
Today, he was determined to impress Lucy, pulling out all the stops to showcase his incredible riding skills. He was certain he looked absolutely amazing right now.
A smug smile tugged at Daniel’s lips as he shouted, “Lucy! How do you like my riding skills?”
He eagerly anticipated Lucy’s praise, imagining her voice filled with admiration as she responded.
Instead, her reply was cold and emotionless. “A curve ahead. Focus on driving if you don’t want to die.”
Daniel was left speechless. Lucy was as icy as ever, but somehow, her aloofness only made her more captivating in his
eyes.
Born into wealth and privilege, Daniel had always been surrounded by people eager to flatter him. Every woman he’d encountered had gone out of her way to please him, never daring to talk back.
But Lucy was different. She was like a single, blinding flash of light that broke the monotony of his world, leaving him completely captivated. He never imagined he’d fall for someone so cold, so fierce, and even a little violent.
Yet here he was, completely hooked. Lucy had scolded him into submission, and he found himself deeply steeped in it. He even started to wonder if he had a masochistic streak because every time she berated him, he felt oddly satisfied.
Oblivious to Daniel’s thoughts, Lucy clung tightly to his firm waist as the motorcycle roared through the curve.
She instinctively glanced back but saw no sign of Turner’s car. Only then did her tense heart finally relax. She was glad that they’d lost him. She was worried Turner might recognize her and spill the truth to Camila.
Camila was so sweet and innocent that Lucy couldn’t bear the thought of scaring her with this side of herself. That was why she always put on such a well–behaved act in front of her.
In reality, it wasn’t all just a facade. When Lucy was with Camila, her heart seemed to soften, and she wasn’t as cold and distant as she was with everyone else.
The motorcycle shot down the empty road like a flash of lightning. It was no surprise when Daniel and Lucy crossed the finish line first.
Daniel pulled off his helmet swiftly, his slightly messy hair whipping in the wind. He raised an eyebrow at Lucy with a smug grin on his face. “Lucy, how was that? Pretty awesome, right? Feeling like dating me yet?”
Lucy’s expression stayed calm, as unruffled as a calm lake. Without a second thought, she pulled out her phone, opened the WhatsApp payment screen, and said coolly, “Time to pay up.”
Daniel’s grin froze instantly. “Lucy, you’re so heartless. I was amazing just now, and you can’t even compliment ma? You’re breaking my heart here.”
Lucy’s gaze stayed icy and unwavering as she stared at him.
Under her piercing gaze, Daniel’s heart raced, and a blush crept up his face. He quickly lowered his head, pretending to search for his phone, though it was really to hide the chaos and excitement inside him.
In his mind, he was screaming. ‘Oh, my God. Lucy’s contemptuous gaze is oddly thrilling. I’m so obsessed. Lucy, keep looking at me like that, only at me!‘

sand dollars to her.
“300 thousand dollars received on WhatsApp.” The chopnication sonu rang out, making Lucy pause for a moment.” What’s this supposed to mean?” she asked.
Daniel chuckled awkwardly, scratching his head. “Well, Lucy, didn’t you say you’d be my girlfriend for 30 thousand dollars a day? Well, I sent you 300 thousand. How about being my girlfriend for ten days?”

Chapter 162 Lucy’s Contemptuous Gaze Was Oddly Thr
Lucy’s lips curved into a faint smile, and a flicker of amusement flashed in her eyes. For a moment, she found Daniel’s clumsy antics unexpectedly endearing.
She stepped forward, grabbed Daniel by the collar, and yanked him down, forcing him to meet her gaze.
The sudden move made Daniel’s heart skip a beat. His face turned beet red, the blush spreading all the way to his ears.
“L–Lucy, what are you doing?” he stammered, his mind spinning with wild thoughts. He wondered if she was going to kiss him, but he was not even ready for this.
But then again, if Lucy was taking the lead, Daniel would go along with it. He slowly closed his eyes, nervously puckering his lips. His heart pounded with both tension and excitement as he waited for her kiss.
Watching his utterly ridiculous expression, Lucy struggled to hold back her laughter. “If you still need a girlfriend after ten days, just make sure the money’s ready. I’ll be here,” she said, letting go of his collar and giving him a shove.
Daniel’s daydreams were instantly shattered, leaving him feeling hollow inside. He looked at Lucy with a pitiful expression, like a wronged husband. He had spent 300 thousand for ten days of her company, and she wouldn’t even give him a kiss. At that moment, the others began arriving at the finish line one after another. Daniel spotted his nemesis and smirked mockingly, raising an eyebrow as he taunted him. “Looks like you lost, huh?”
Johnny let out a cold snort and shoved Patricia toward Daniel. “Take her. She’s all yours.”
Patricia stumbled and fell into Daniel’s arms.
Daniel reacted as if he’d touched something filthy, pushing Patricia away with disdain. “What the hell? I never said I wanted her!”
Johnny sneered and said, “Wasn’t that the deal? If I lose, Patricia goes back to you. If you lose, your woman comes to me.” As he spoke, Johnny’s gaze landed on Lucy. He brazenly sized her up from head to toe. He even let out a low, flirtatious whistle, his eyes shamelessly roaming over her. “Hey, gorgeous, what’s your name?”
Lucy acted as though she hadn’t heard him, not even sparing him a glance.
