Chapter 173 Confront Owen
Lucy’s body trembled as she realized what Turner was about to do. “Stop! Are you insane? Darsets right outsider
Her eyes were wide with fear as she pushed against Turner, trying desperately to stop his rechless actions Turner paused for a moment, then leaned over Lucy, who was stumped in the seat. Her face was Rushed, and her chest. was rising and falling rapidly “Perfect. If he wants to watch, let him Maybe then he’ll finally stop pestering you‘ “You might not care about your reputation, but I dof Lucy snapped, glaring at him with gritted teeth.
Turner chuckled softly, his tone mocking “What’s the matter? Scared? His fingers brushed lightly against her cheek, then trailed down to her collarbone.
His touch sent a shiver through Lucy’s body, like a jolt of electricity. Her face burned, the heat spreading down her neck and across her entire body, leaving her as red as a boiled shrimp.
Her flustered expression clearly amused Turner. “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?” he teased, raising an eyebrow and flashing a wicked grin.
Lucy cursed inwardly, furious at herself for ever underestimating Turner, ‘He might look refined on the surface, but underneath, he’s nothing but a shameless scoundrel
Grinding her teeth, Lucy spat, “Turner, enough is enough. I’m not a man, so why are you so obsessed with mer Turner blinked, clearly confused. “Of course, you’re not a man. If you were, I wouldn’t be touching you”
Lucy glared at him, disbelief written all over her face. “Don’t play dumb. I saw you with that pretty boy last time. You two were all over each other. Still want to claim you’re not gay? Or are you bisexual?”
As if uncovering a scandalous truth, Lucy cursed, “You’re disgusting!”
Turner couldn’t help but laugh at her wild accusations. “We’ve already slept together, and you still can’t tell I’m straight? “Clearly, I didn’t try hard enough last night. How about we test it out here?” With that, his heated hand slid under her dress. Lucy gasped in horror, quickly grabbing his hand to stop him. Her voice trembled with desperation. “Please, don’t do this.” At that moment, Daniel, who had been knocked down earlier, got back on his feet. He pounded on the car window, shouting, “Turner, let Lucy go! If you touch her, I’ll make you pay!”
Turner halted his actions, ignoring Daniel entirely. Instead, he turned to Lucy and said, “You don’t like it here? Fine, we’ll continue at home.” With swift movements, he pulled off his tie and bound Lucy’s hands in seconds.
“Be a good girl, or I’ll take you right here,” Turner whispered in her ear, his voice dripping with menace.
Lucy turned her face away, refusing to look at his infuriatingly smug expression. She silently cursed her luck, realizing she had provoked a relentless madman.
Turner gently ruffled her hair. “That’s my girl,” he said with a satisfied smile. Retracting his hand, he decisively pushed open the car door.
Daniel’s eyes burned red as he saw Turner step out. “What did you do to Lucy?” he shouted, his voice shaking with anger. Turner’s expression was laced with disdain. “What I do with my woman is none of your business,” he said coldly. The phrase “my woman” hit Daniel like a dagger to the heart. He raised his hand, ready to strike Turner again.
Turner’s gaze turned icy, sharp enough to cut. “Didn’t get enough of a beating earlier, huh?” he said with a venomous sneer. Daniel froze mid–motion, his body stiff and unmoving. He could only watch as Turner climbed back into the car. The Maybach roared to life, speeding off and leaving a trail of exhaust behind.
Lucy adjusted her posture, sitting upright. She said with a calm but firm tone, “Take me back to school.”
Turner’s voice was cold and commanding. “We’re going to my home to finish what we started.”
Lucy was left speechless.
Camila and Giovani walked side by side, their pace leisurely as they strolled down the quiet street.
Hazel had already been driven home by Sean. Camila, taking advantage of this rare outing, treated it as a chance to get some fresh air and walk off her meal.
The two remained silent as they walked, until t Successfully unlocked! mila finally stopped. A soft breeze brushed
past, gently lifting strands of her hair.
Standing by the railing, she gazed at the river flowing below. Her mood was worlds apart from the last time she stood here -back then, she had been consumed by despair and had nearly jumped.
“Mr. Campbell, do you remember this place?” Camila’s voice carried a hint of nostalgia. “If I hadn’t met you here that day, I

might not be standing here now.”
She turned to look at Giovani, her expression sincere. “I really owe you. You’ve been such a blessing in my life.”
Giovani’s gaze softened. “Do you still remember what I told you that day?”
Camila thought for a moment before replying, “You said life’s like a story, and sometimes just one person can change how it unfolds. You wanted to see what my story would become if I chose to keep going.”
She paused briefly, then added, “At the time, I didn’t believe you. I said my story was already a mess, not worth continuing.” A faint smile appeared on Giovani’s otherwise stoic face, its warmth standing out against the night. “That’s not true. The best parts of life often come later. Look at you–you’ve made it through the hardest times. Now, it’s your turn to enjoy happiness.‘
Camila nodded. “You’re right. I owe my life to you, Mr. Campbell.”
Her face lit up with gratitude, but deep inside, a pang of sorrow struck her. She really wished her body were healthy, but she knew her time was running out. Lowering her head, she tried to hide the sadness in her eyes.
Giovani, ever perceptive, noticed the subtle shift in her mood. He was ready to offer comfort, but before he could, a voice suddenly cut through the quiet night.
“Camila, Owen’s voice called out.
Hearing the voice, Camila’s head snapped up, her eyes locking onto Owen’s gaze, which was brimming with surprise and delight.
The man before her was a far cry from the beggar she’d seen rummaging through trash bins not long ago.
