They Beg For My Return (Camila Jackson) novel Chapter 211

Chapter 211 Camila Extra 5

Camila looked at Giovani, who was both flustered and adorable. Her chest went tight, then fizzy, like she’d chugged a soda too fast.

She stayed on one knee, gazing up at him. Her eyes were full of hope, like a beam of light shining straight into Giovani’s heart.

For a moment, it was as if time itself had stopped.

Just a second ago, Elliot and Zachary were begging Camila to play house. Now they just stood there, stunned, unable to believe what they were seeing.

Giovani finally snapped out of his shock and met Camila’s earnest gaze. His heart skipped a beat. Yyes, he stammered. In that instant, Camila’s big eyes twinkled with pure joy and contentment. She burst into the brightest smile of her lifeone that came from deep within, more radiant than the sun itself.

She reached out her chubby little hand to Giovani. Blushing furiously, he took her hand and helped her up from the ground. At five years old, Camila only came up to Giovani’s chest. She had to tilt her head all the way back to look at him, but even from that angle, little Giovani looked perfecthandsome and cool as ever.

Giovani, from today on, I’m your bridetobe,” Camila said, her voice soft and sweet, so adorable that it could melt anyone’s heart.

Giovani’s face turned even redder, almost like he was about to burst into flames.

Ever since his mother passed away, no one had ever been this close to himnot even his own father, who always called him a weirdo with a dark personality.

But this little girl he’d just met wasn’t scared of him at all. She liked him, wanted to be his bride, and for some reason, he didn’t mind at all. In fact, when she proposed, his usually calm heart actually started to stir.

Maybe if she becomes my bride, I won’t be alone anymore. Maybe she’ll always stay by my side, he thought. Staring into Camila’s eyes, Giovani didn’t even realize he was taking off his necklace until the weight of it was in his hands.

He gently rubbed the pendant between his fingers, handling it with extra care. It was a silver ring, threaded onto a red string. Giovani slipped the necklace over Camila’s head, letting the ring slide down the red string to rest against her chest. The moment she saw the ring clearly, Camila’s eyes widened in shock. She knew this ring all too well.

In her previous life, Giovani had worn it on his pinky as a promise ring, and later, he’d personally put it on her finger. Lindsey had once told her that this was Giovani’s mother’s keepsake, something that meant the world to him. He’d always worn it, never willing to take it off.

For him to put this ring on her now meant he’d chosen herhe saw her as the one and only partner he wanted in this life. In this new life, Giovani gave her the ring againonly this time, it was eighteen years earlier than before.

A rush of warmth flooded Camila’s heart, waves of emotion washing over her until she was completely swept away.

She lifted her hand and gently held the ring at her chest. You’re giving this to me?

Giovani nodded, his little face extra serious. I’ve always kept it with me. Now it’s yours,” he said softly but firmly. When I grow up, I’ll put it on your finger myself.By the time he finished, he was blushing hard.

Joseph watched his little sister and Giovani being so close, feeling like his whole world was falling apart. He was anxious, frustrated, and heartbroken. What on earth is going on? Could someone please explain this to me?he thought.

He’d always thought the real threats were guys like Elliot and Zacharyoutgoing, popular, and smooth talkers who could charm anyone.

But he never thought that the usually silent, cold Giovani would try to steal his adorable sister away after just one meeting. No way was he letting this happen.

My sister doesn’t need your stuff,Joseph said, turning to Camila. Camila, give it back. If you want something, I’ll buy it for

Before Joseph could finish, Camila cut him off, her big eyes shining. But I like it, Joseph.

Joseph’s heart broke all over again. Camila, I’m your favorite brother! Are you really going to ditch me for this coldraced boy?he exclaimed in his mind.

Giovani ignored Joseph’s jealous look, took Camila’s small hand, and said, Come with me to my house.

Camila’s eyes lit up instantly. She’d always been curious about Giovani’s house. She missed her chance in her previous life -no way would she let it slip by now.

Camila couldn’t wait to see Lindsey and Keira again. She really missed them. Okay!she agreed right away. Let’s go now.

Chapter 211 Camila Extra 5

Elliot said, Seriously? There’s actually a girl who likes Giovani?

Zachary replied, What’s so weird about that? That girl from the Zevon family likes him, too. Remember?

You mean Yvonne? Giovani can’t stand her. She’s not half as cute as Camila,Elliot snorted.

Zachary grinned. If Yvonne saw how sweet Giovani is to Camila, she’d totally lose it.

Joseph gritted his teeth. If she tries anything with my sister, she’ll have to deal with me.

Meanwhile, Giovani led Camila up to the grand mansion, which looked just like a palace rising from a sea of green lawn.

The main house was designed in a classic style. Its creamcolored marble exterior glowed with a soft, elegant sheen under the sunlight. Delicate patterns were carved into the walls, adding a touch of sophistication.

Camila looked around in amazement, secretly thinking to herself that the Campbell family was just as loaded as the Stuard family.

Barely able to contain her excitement, she let Giovani pull her into the house.

As soon as she stepped inside, Camila glanced around, hoping to spot Lindsey or Keira, but neither of those familiar, warm faces were anywhere to be seen.

The huge villa was quiet, with only a few uniformed staff moving about, working silently and efficiently.

Camila couldn’t help feeling a little confused. She asked curiously, Giovani, where’s your family?

Giovani’s voice was as cool and calm as ever as he replied, Grandma’s at the family estate. My dad’s at the office.”

Hearing that, Camila felt a wave of disappointment. So Lindsey doesn’t live here after all. Looks like I won’t get to see her today, she sighed inwardly.

Giovani noticed the shift in her mood and gently took her hand. What’s wrong?

It’s nothing.Camila quickly pulled herself together and smiled.

I’ll show you my room,Giovani said, leading her upstairs.

As Giovani pushed open the door to his room, Camila’s eyes lit up. The room was spotless, not a single thing out of place.

The layout was simple but stylish. It didn’t look like a kid’s room at allmore like a grown man’s. Honestly, it fit Giovani’s personality perfectly.

Giovani sat with her on the bed, just staring at her. Camila tilted her head and looked right back at him, as if she could never get enough.

The longer she looked, the closer she leaned in, her eyes sparkling.

Giovani watched as her chubby face got closer and closer, his body going stiff. He stammered, Whwhat are you doing?

The next second, Camila planted a kiss on his handsome cheek and said in a soft, sweet voice, I like you.

Giovani’s mind went completely blank, Camila’s words echoing over and over in his head.

His face turned bright red, the blush spreading all the way to his ears. He didn’t know where to look, his little hands clutching the bedsheet as his heart pounded out of control.

Camila must have fallen for me at first sight. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have proposed to me, right?he thought to himself.

Camila couldn’t help but giggle at how adorably shy Giovani looked. He was nothing like the calm, reserved man she remembered from her previous life, but this side of him was just as charming.

Still laughing, she reached out and gently poked Giovani’s cheek with her small hand. That only made him blush harder, flustered beyond words.

Suddenly, Giovani jumped up from the bed, startling Camila with his sudden movement.

Camila blinked, a little confused. What’s wrong?

Giovani’s face turned even redder. He mumbled, II’ll go get you a drink. Before Camila could say anything, he rushed out of the room.

Watching Giovani’s hurried retreat, Camila couldn’t help but laugh again. So Mr. Campbell is really this easy to when he’s a kid?she wondered.

rass

All she did was give him a quick kiss and poke his cheek a little. She’d thought he’d be as calm and unflappable as he was in her previous life, but he was actually so easy to fluster.

Camila crossed her arms, a fond smile tugging at her lips. Little Mr. Campbell is just too cute. Is this what it feels like to shape someone into my perfect match?she thought.

She got up, walked out of the room, and stood by the upstairs railing, looking down at Giovani’s figure in the kitchen.

Chapter 211 Camila Extra 5

Giovani stood stiffly at the kitchen counter, awkwardly fiddling with something in his hands.

Just then, a bedroom door opened down the hall, and a stunning woman stepped out. She wore a lowcut slip dress that swayed with her movements, showing off her long legs.

The moment the woman came out, she spotted Camila by the railing and frowned. She thought to herself, Who’s this brat?

I’ve never seen this kid before. Did that little bastard bring her home? No way. He’s always so closed off. Why would he suddenly show up with a little girl?

The woman narrowed her eyes and walked toward Camila, her soft slippers making ho sound against the floor

But in this new life, Camila’s hearing was especially sharp. She immediately picked up on the soft footsteps and spun around, coming facetoface with the glamorous woman.

As she saw the woman, Camila’s eyes widened. She’d only met her once in her previous life, but the impression had been unforgettable.

This woman was Robin, Giovani’s stepmother, the same woman who’d caused a huge scene at Lindsey’s birthday banquet She’d screamed accusations, called Camila a homewrecker trying to seduce Joshua, and even slapped her.

Later, to get revenge for Camila, Giovani had ruined Robin’s face, knocked out all her silvercapped teeth, and even crippled her hands.

As for what happened to Robin after she was taken away, Camila didn’t know. But she was certain that anyone who crossed Giovani never ended up well.

Right now, Robin looked to be not even thirty, with a seductive charm that outshone most starlets.

Robin’s stunning looks were how she’d snagged Giovani’s father in the first place, convincing him to cheat on his wife. The second Giovani’s mother died, his father rushed to move Robin into the family home. She’d been living there for five years

now.

Robin hated Giovani. But even as a kid, he was ruthless and twisted, so she never dared cross him and could only keep her

head down and act meek.
