Chapter 212 Camila Extra 6
‘Damn brat. He’s just a kid–how come he’s so terrifying? Robin cursed inwardly.
The very day Robin walked into the Campbell residence, pregnant, Giovani pushed her down the stairs. She lost her baby just like that.
But it didn’t stop there. Somehow, Giovani even got the doctors to take out her uterus, making sure she could never be a mother again.
At just five years old, he’d already pulled a knife on her using his age as a shield. She’d endured his cruelty for five long years. Now ten, he appeared calmer on the surface, but underneath, he was still the same little monster
Robin didn’t even dare to meet Giovani’s eyes, terrified that if she made him angry, he’d come at her with a knife and kill her Robin quickly forced a fake smile at Giovani, and then turned and practically ran back to her bedroom
Giovani’s eyes went cold. That look alone could kill. But the moment he turned to look at Camila, all that dafiness mened away, and he was just that shy, innocent boy again.
He picked up a fruit knife, sliced the fruit, and dropped the pieces into the juicer.
Camila leaned over the counter, resting her chin in her hands, watching him work with wide, eager eyes.
Feeling her intense gaze, Giovaní pressed his lips together, a little embarrassed by the attention.
Soon, the juice was ready. “Camila, give it a try,” he said.
Camila’s face lit up as she took the glass, tipped her head back, and took a big gulp. Her eyes went wide with delight, sparkling with surprise.
“Wow, Giovani, this juice is amazing! It’s the best I’ve ever had! You’re incredible–I knew you were the best she exclamed
Camila’s praise left Giovani completely flustered. Ever since his mother passed away, no one had ever praised him so openly and sincerely.
All these years, he’d kept his heart cold and distant; except for Lindsey, he was indifferent to everyone. He thought no one could ever warm him again.
But somehow, this little girl he’d only just met cracked him open. He cared about her, and he couldn’t figure out why.
He couldn’t help but reach out and gently pat Camila’s soft, fluffy head. “If you like it, drink as much as you want. From now on, I’ll make it for you every day, okay?”
Camila nodded enthusiastically. “Okay!”
‘Mr. Campbell really is a good person. Whether as a kid or as an adult, he’s always warm–hearted, Camila thought, deeply touched. She felt like meeting him was the luckiest thing that had ever happened to her.
Camila downed her glass of juice in one go, set it aside, and then threw her arms around Giovani’s waist. She nuzzled into him, looking completely clingy.
Her sudden move made Giovani’s ears flush red with embarrassment again. “Camila, let me take you home. Your family must be missing you,” he said. Though deep down, he didn’t want to let her go at all.
The real reason he wanted to send her back was because he was worried Robin might try something again. She just never learned her lesson. Once Camila is home, I’ll teach her a lesson she’ll never forget,’ he thought.
Though a storm raged inside Giovani, he still looked like the gentle, harmless boy in front of Camila.

When Camila got back to the Stuard residence, she spotted Joseph sitting on the couch, cheeks puffed out and sulking
hard.
The second he saw her, he let out a grumpy huff and turned his head away, refusing to even look at her.
Camila sighed–she’d been so excited to see Giovani in the garden that she totally forgot about her possessive brother’s feelings.
She skipped over and plopped down beside him. Tilting her head, she asked with feigned innocence, “What’s wrong, Joseph?”
Joseph ignored her, his mind racing. ‘Seriously? She’s asking what’s wrong? The moment Giovani showed up, sh about me. What a little traitor.

‘What’s so great about that ice–cold Giovani anyway? Or maybe Camila justxes those cold, distant types? If that’s the case, I can totally pull that off too.‘
Joseph kept sulking, waiting for Camila to comfort him, but no matter how long he waited, she didn’t say a word.
Curiosity finally got the better of him, so he turned his head, only to meet Camila’s big, sparkling eyes.

She looked at him seriously and asked in a soft voice, “Are you jealous because I went with Giovani to his home?
Joseph’s face went bright red in an instant. “Wh–who says I’m jealous?”
“Really not?” she pressed.
“Of course not!” Joseph stiffened his neck, absolutely refusing to admit it.
Camila just grinned. “I knew it. You’re totally jealous.
“Don’t worry. You’ll always be my one and only brother. No one could ever take your place. Meanwhile, in her heart, Giovani already held the special place of her future husband.
In her previous life, she’d treated Harry as her brother, but he never cared. So this time, Joseph was the only brother the needed.
Joseph was overjoyed when Camila called him her “one and only brother For a moment, he forgot all about her running off with Giovani earlier.
However, he was hard on the outside. “Hmph, like I care,” he huffed. But he couldn’t hide his grin as he got up and practically dashed upstairs.
Once inside his room, he flopped onto the bed and rolled around, absolutely giddy.
‘Yes! My little sister definitely likes me best. There’s no way Elliot, Zachary, or Giovani can ever steal her away from me.
‘Oh right, I can’t let those three find out how amazing Camila is. If they know my sister is a genius, they’ll stick to her like glue and never let go.
‘Camila’s amazing–but the worst part is that I can’t even be at her school looking out for her Joseph thought. He wES caught between feeling proud and a little down, totally conflicted.
After a while, Camila pushed open his door. “Joseph, are you hungry?”
Joseph shot up in bed and saw Camila holding a bowl of meatball soup–golden broth, perfectly round meatballs. The smell made his mouth water.
“Don’t be mad anymore, okay?” Camila said. She’d made the soup just for him. Even though she was small, she could stand on a stool and cook just fine.
Her favorite was always Hazel’s meatball soup, and she’d learned all the tricks from her. “Try it,’ she said.
Joseph cleared his throat and said, “Since you’re being so sincere, I’ll accept your apology this time.”
Seeing his stubborn little act, Camila tried not to laugh. “That’s great.”
Camila’s coaxing had Joseph grinning from ear to ear.
He sat up straight at the table, picked up a meatball with his fork, and took a bite. The chewy meatball, hot and full of flavor, seemed to burst in his mouth. Joseph couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow, this is amazing!*
Camila smiled. “If you like it, I’ll make it for you more often.”
Joseph froze mid–bite, staring at her in disbelief. His voice trembled as he said, “You… you made this?”
“Mhm.” She nodded.
The next second, Joseph put down his fork and grabbed her little hand. “Did you burn yourself? Camila, you’re so little. The kitchen’s dangerous.
“Even if you wanted to apologize, you shouldn’t do something so risky.
“This is all my fault. I shouldn’t have lost my temper with you. I was wrong–will you forgive me?”
Even though Camila wasn’t hurt, just picturing his tiny sister cooking alone in the kitchen made Joseph’s eyes go red with
worry.
‘Camila grew up in an orphanage–she must’ve gone through so much. Maybe that’s why she learned to cook. She’s only five, just a little kid.‘ This thought made Joseph’s chest tighten. He bent down and gently blew on her hand. “Does it hurt?” Seeing how close he was to tears, Camila felt her heart melt.
In her previous life with the Jackson family, she gave them everything she had, but never got any real affection in return. They never cared about her–just took everything she did for granted.
But now, she finally had a brother who truly cared about her. She knew that letting the Stuards adopt her was the luckiest break of her life.
“Don’t worry. I’m fine,” she said softly.
“Promise me you won’t do this again. No more going into the kitchen, okay?”
“Okay.”

Chapter 212 Camila Extra 6
The Stuard family was all warmth and harmony, but over at Giovani’s place, a bloody scene was playing out.
After Giovani dropped Camila off at home, he returned home and headed straight to Robin’s bedroom with a knife in his hand.
Robin was lying in bed scrolling on her phone. When she saw him, she shot up in terror. “Wh–what do you want?”
The innocent look Giovani had with Camila was gone–his face was cold and menacing now. “You tried to throw Camila over the railing just now.”
Robin shook her head frantically, terrified. “No, Mr. Campbell, you’ve got it all wrong can explain
“Explain? Sure, let’s hear it.” Giovani leaned lazily against the wall, idly spinning the fruit knife in his hand. The blade caught the light, casting a chilling gleam across his young face.
Robin was most afraid of Giovani when he was like this. She’d seen his ruthless side before, and she knew how dangerous he could be when he lost his temper.
She stammered, “I–I was just joking with that little girl. Don’t all kids like being picked up by adults? I just wanted to hug her -that’s all. It’s really not what you think!
“I swear, everything I said is true. If I’m lying, may I burn in hell!
“Mr. Campbell, please, you have to believe me. I’ve changed, really! I’ve been good these past five years–you’ve seen it yourself.”
“Are you done?” Giovani looked up. His eyes were like a bottomless pit, sending a jolt of terror through Robin.
“Wh–what are you going to do? No matter what, I’m still your stepmother. You can’t hurt me.” Her voice cracked, panic rising with every word.
Giovani stepped closer, knife in hand. “I gave you five years to learn your lesson, but clearly you’ve forgotten what happened back then. Let me remind you.”
“No, please don’t!” Robin was so scared that she nearly wet herself. She tried to hide, but the room was too small, and there was nowhere to run.
Giovani might be small, but he was quick. In a flash, he was right in front of Robin. He raised the knife and stabbed it straight into her thigh without hesitation.
Robin’s scream echoed through the entire house.
