Ethan Carter’s brow was furrowed, his face paler than a pale, dead fly. 

For some reason, Emma Johnson’s sudden behavior had left Ethan Carter with mixed feelings, and he could sense how much the woman wanted nothing to do with herself. 

“You really don’t have to do this.” He said through clenched teeth. 

“It’s better to be careful.” Emma’s mouth curled up into a faint smile in response. 

“I’ll take you home first, there’s nothing important in the company lately, and it just so happens that tomorrow is a vacation, so take a good rest.” Ethan changed the topic. 

“Okay.” Emma agreed quite quickly, and the car went straight to her apartment. 

The car pulled up at the bottom of the apartment building, “Thanks Mr. Carter for the ride back.” She said politely before getting out of the car and leaving. 

Looking at her back, Ethan’s heart rippled, the events of last night replayed in his mind like a movie, and he was overwhelmed by Emma’s charm. 

He didn’t realize that his attitude and feelings towards Emma were also changing. 

“Mr. Carter, going to the office or home?” The driver asked when he didn’t respond. 

“Home.” Ethan finally regained his composure and withdrew his eyes, trying not to think about last night. He turned on his computer and tried to numb himself with work, but he couldn’t focus on the screen. 

“Ethan, you’re finally home!” Olivia Brooks greeted him with a smile on her face as soon as he entered the house. 

She knew that Ethan was coming back from Carter Estate today, so she came here early in the morning to wait for him. Because of her relationship with Ethan, she was able to 

go as she pleased without any hindrance.

“Stop it, you have to go to the office later.” He said coldly. He said coldly, pushed away Olivia who was approaching him, and turned around to enter the checkroom. 

The corner of Olivia’s mouth twitched slightly, standing in place awkwardly, sighing inwardly at the loss. In the past five years, no matter how she showed her affection or hinted, Ethan politely refused, and she could not figure out which part of the relationship was wrong, 

Soon after, Ethan changed his clothes and walked out of the checkroom, Olivia forced herself to smile, and took the initiative to go forward to help him straighten his tie. 

“I’ll do it myself.” Maybe it’s because of what happened with Emma last night, so Ethan seems a little resistant to all of Olivia’s intimacy. 

“Ethan, it’s my job as a girlfriend to straighten your tie, are you going to refuse that too?” Olivia looked at him sadly, and deliberately emphasized the word “girlfriend” to remind Ethan that she was now his real girlfriend, and that such intimacy was not excessive. 

Ethan heard, finally did not refuse, after changing clothes, the two left the villa together to the company. Along the way, Olivia felt that this man seems to have a lot on his mind.
