On the way home, Emma Johnson had mixed feelings, thinking about what Olivia Brooks had just said. On second thought, they had been together for so many years, it was inevitable that they would have a relationship. However, the thought of Ethan Carter having sex with Olivia Brooks and then having sex with herself made her heart feel like pins and needles, and even her stomach churned. 

When she reached home. Emma withdrew her thoughts, quickly rushed back home, changed her clothes, simply cleaned herself up, and immediately went to the pier. 

Ethan Carter was sitting in a black luxury car, his eyes locked on the crowd not far away, looking for that familiar figure, and finally found her. 

Emma was wearing a beige floor–length dress, with light makeup, delicate and beautiful. Her hair was casually draped on the back of her head, she stood at the pier and looked around, people passing by unconsciously rested their eyes on her.

“Hold on.” He whispered into Emma’s ear. 

Emma frowned and reluctantly took his arm, forcing out a forced smile as they boarded the cruise ship together. Despite holding Ethan’s arm. Emma’s hand was only lighth resting on his arm. 

“Mr. Carter, I didn’t expect to see you on such an occasion! I drink to you.” 

“Mr. Carter, I didn’t expect to see you on such an occasion! I drink to you.” 

Ethan’s presence drew a lot of compliments from people with glasses of wine, knowing that he didn’t like these social occasions, and those who heard he would be attending the event came to see him. 

“Mr. Carter has important business to attend to later, so I’ll drink for him.” Without waiting for Ethan’s response, Emma picked up the glass of wine, as a qualified subordinate, it is her duty to hold back the wine for her boss. 

As a qualified subordinate, it is his duty to hold back the drinks for his superior. Looking at the way she drank it all in one go. Ethan’s eyebrows were slightly wrinkled, and there was some dissatisfaction in his heart. In fact, he did not need her to hold back the drinks, but seeing her drink for him without hesitation, the mood stirred. 

Emma, no matter how good she was at drinking, couldn’t withstand the many toasts, and her cheeks turned slightly red as her consciousness faded. She slipped out of the room while Ethan chatted with his partner, and put her hands on the railing, squinting into the sea breeze, and felt instantly sober. 

“Miss, you look like you’ve had too much to drink, can I help you?” At this time, the ear suddenly came a gentle and full of magnetic voice, Emma froze for a moment, slowly back to the head. 

A warm smiling face intruded into the line of sight, this strange man in front of him. wearing gold–rimmed glasses, exuding a unique temperament, making people feel gentle and elegant.
