Triplets for the Billionaire novel (Oliver Gusto) novel Chapter 39

Before Katherine could escape, Oliver, still shirtless, climbed on top of her, ignoring all the sparks their naked bodies were igniting.

Just like earlier, Kathie tried to get out of his hold but this time around, Oliver was really not having it.

"How dare you lie to me? What do you take me for? A fool?" He said at the top of his voice.

"What the hell has come over you?" She yelled, still struggling to get out of his hold.

"Answer me! Why did you lie to me?"

Katherine swallowed painfully under him. She was trying to stay sane; not to get distracted as a result of him being this close to her and at the same time, the tone in which he spoke to her made her scared. She had never felt this type of mixed feelings.

"What lie? What are you talking about?" She said, trying to keep up with his stare. Even though Kathie could swear about knowing Ollie so well, She could also swear that she had never seen him this way. His eyes were red and his face showed nothing but serious anger as if he wouldn't hesitate to do anything that was on his mind so Kathie thought it was best to do whatever he requested.

"Don't you joke with me and answer the damn question." He said in a low voice filled with venom and danger.

"I.....I....didn't lie to you." She stammered.

"What do you take me for? You think I didn't hear your conversation?"

"What do you want from me? I told you exactly what you wanted to hear. Didn't it make you happy?"

"Don't annoy me any more, Kathie. You know how much I hate lies."

"You're the one who should fix yourself and stay in your lane. You go around snooping in a visitor's home. Inculcate some manners."

"Don't be a bitch!!" He warned, not liking the fact that she was raising her voice at him. He hated that habit the most and wouldn't tolerate it from anyone. Including his father.

"Why do you care if I'm being a bitch?"

"Don't raise your voice at me again!!"

"Oh, so you can raise your voice at me but I can't? I see."

"Why did you tell me the baby died?"

"What difference would it make if I told you that the baby was alive?" She challenged, returning the hateful glare he was giving her.

"And who are you to decide that?"

"The only parent of Sophie, Samuel, and Sebastian. I will protect them with my life against anybody, including you."

Ollie had no idea why but Katherine's statement made him weak at heart.

He stared at her for a couple of seconds, thinking of what to say but words failed him.

Kathie wanted to use the privilege that he was in trance to get away from his hold but he didn't let her.

"Only parent?"

"Yes. You've got any problem with that?"
