True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 2280

Sebastian knew that his actions were too abrupt. He was worried that Claudia would not believe him.

After all, he had shown her such a bad attitude earlier. He had scorned her, making her feel embarrassed. However, he had to admit that he had been blinded by jealousy at that time.

As he stood facing Claudia, he no longer felt as high and mighty as before. Instead, he was a little worried.

"Claudia!" He finally mustered up all his courage to call her name.

"If there's something you want to say, just say it. Mind you, I don't quite believe what you say," Claudia spoke quickly.

Sebastian knew that was bound to happen.

He looked at Claudia and noticed that she had her guard up. She looked helpless, and she seemed like she was looking for an opportunity to escape.

Perhaps that was what Sebastian deserved. Sebastian thought to himself.

He took a deep breath and said, "I know that whatever I say next will leave you wary and cast doubts in your mind, but I still want you to listen carefully to what I have to say, okay?"

Claudia nodded. "I'll listen to you out of basic courtesy. Just spit it out."

"Claudia," Sebastian began, looking for the right words. He was thinking of how to tell Claudia about his feelings for her.

Previously, he had been struggling with his thoughts and was in doubt.

He did not want to admit that he had fallen in love with her, someone who was several years older than him. However, he could not just watch her leave him. There was also the possibility that she would begin a relationship with another man.

All that was very painful for Sebastian, yet he could not do anything about it. He could not just watch her fall into the arms of another man.

Therefore, he had to make his move.

No! Sebastian thought to himself.

Perhaps he was too late.

However, what else could he do about that. There was no other way. If he did not say it, then it might be too late.

Sebastian took a deep breath and finally said, "I like you. Perhaps even I don't know when I started having feelings for you, but I don't think that it was too long ago.

"I admit that our age difference will be a major obstacle for us.

"I also admit that I thought it'd be embarrassing to have a girlfriend who's a few years older than me.

"However, when I thought about how you might fall into the arms of another man, I got really jealous.

"I was so jealous that I thought I was about to go insane. I just can't bear the thought of you being with someone else, so I decided to confess my feelings."

Claudia's heart was racing to the point that it felt rather uncomfortable.

She was very nervous, but she maintained a calm expression.

Claudia was a little upset that Sebastian still felt that the age gap between them would make things a little awkward.

His words really hurt Claudia.

The more she thought about his words, the colder her expression became.

"Age is a problem that'll always exist between us. It's something that won't go away. What's more, I don't believe a word you said. Do you think that it's

fun to fool with me?"

Sebastian shook his head vehemently. "Of course not! Don't be so anxious to speak. Let me finish first, okay?"

Claudia frowned, then nodded. "Okay, I'll wait for you to finish first. Go on."

She leaned back against the wall so that she could support her trembling body.

Only then could she feel more comfortable.

Claudia did not know if Sebastian was being honest or not. However, her intuition told her not to trust his words so easily.

To be honest, she was a little bit upset.

If Sebastian really did like Claudia, then what was with his attitude earlier? Claudia thought to herself.

He insulted her several times, but now he was telling her that he liked her. Who on earth would believe him? Who would dare believe him?

Claudia's face was cold. She could not bring herself to believe in Sebastian's words.

Looking at Claudia's cold and calm eyes, Sebastian felt frustrated.

It was because Claudia clearly did not believe him.

Sebastian was anxious. He also blamed himself for what he did. It was quite despicable indeed.

There were some things that had to be said clearly face-to-face to earn her trust. Otherwise, she might never believe him again.

"I know you doubt what I said. But, Claudia, I like you. I want to show you my true feelings."

Claudia stared at Sebastian without saying anything.

That time, she wanted to see what he had to say.

"In truth, age is not a problem. I have never been a person who cares what others think. I was just a little worried that my parents would object to it. However, my parents turned out to be very open-minded, and it dispelled some thoughts that I had earlier.
