The next morning.
The Wilson family's cemetery.
Theo's garden was the most eye-catching part of the cemetery every year. Whether they were blooming or not, the flowers and trees in the garden grew extremely well. The green leaves were as bright as wax and were exceptionally pleasing to the eye under the warm sun. All kinds of flower heads gathered around, sticking their heads out, wanting to be the most beautiful flower.
The group of people stood in the cemetery and paid their respects to their ancestors and Theo one by one in sequence.
When they were paying respects to Theo, Jasper knelt and kowtowed to the tombstone. He knelt on the ground and helped to place the flowers properly. Olivia knelt beside her brother.
Caleb and Rachel looked at their grandchildren's actions and nodded slightly. Although the cemetery was clean, there was still dust if they knelt directly. In addition, Jasper's pants were gray, and Olivia's pants were white.
Natalie squatted on the ground and took a stack of lettering designs from a bag. She handed them to her son and said, "Jasper, place them on your great-grandfather's grave."
Jasper took them and replied calmly, "Okay."
Every year, Jasper would sort out the lettering designs he had written for the past year and take them to the cemetery to be placed on Theo's grave, signifying that Theo could check Jasper's works.
There were many pieces of paper. The lettering designs were drawn every day without rest. Olivia helped to take some and placed them on the grave. No one snatched this task. Only Jasper and Olivia were allowed to do it.
Trevon stood before his grandfather's tombstone in a suit and leather shoes. He pursed his lips and did not say anything. He was speaking and praying inwardly.
Rachel squatted down and wiped the tombstone. Even though it was clean, she still wiped it every time she came. "Dad, Sophia, that mischievous kid, is not here today. May you and Mom in heaven bless her to be safe and sound during training."
"Grandpa, I've handed Jasper's homework to you. Check it carefully. The children are doing well. Trevon and I are doing well, too. You and Grandma may rest assured. Sophia is the most mischievous and vexing one in the family."
Natalie also said a few words.
Half an hour later, after everything was placed on the grave and tidied up, Jasper helped his sister to get up. Natalie bent over and was about to pat Olivia's dirty knees when Olivia stopped her. "Mom, it's okay."
Then, Olivia patted her own knees and helped Jasper pat his knees. Jasper gestured for Olivia to stop. Jasper took a packet of wet wipes from the pocket of his sweater and handed it to Olivia.
Olivia took the packet of wet wipes, took one out, and wiped her hands. She stuffed the rest of the wet wipes back into her brother's pocket and held his wrist as they left the cemetery.
Gage and Mary did not leave. They requested to stay and accompany Theo. The old lady chatted with Rachel, and Rachel agreed. Rachel knew that the two of them had a close relationship with Theo.
At the stairs, Olivia turned to Natalie and asked, "Mom, will Grandma Emma and the others come tomorrow morning? Do you have any other plans in the afternoon?"
Natalie, who was following behind, replied, "You guys can go wherever you want this afternoon. You need to visit your Grandma Emma tomorrow morning."
At the foot of the mountain, Trevon stood by the car door. He glanced at his son and instructed, "Send your grandpa and grandma home. I'm going to the company. Olivia, I'm leaving. If you want to go to the company, come over yourself."
"Oh, okay, Dad, I know. I plan to go to Ruby's studio later, and then I will look for you. Okay?"
Olivia knew that her father actually wanted her to go to the company, but he did not say it directly.
Natalie thought, 'Good grief, does he have to bring his daughter with him to the company?'
Trevon smiled at Natalie and said happily, "Okay, tell me when you are coming over. Natalie, I'm leaving."
Natalie was speechless.
"Okay, drive slowly."
Olivia waved her hand. "Goodbye, Dad. Be careful."
After Trevon's car left, Natalie opened the door of the multi-purpose vehicle and let Caleb and Rachel sit in before getting into the car herself.
After everyone was seated, Jasper started the car and drove to the Wilson's residence.
An hour later, the car arrived at the Wilson's residence.
When they got home, Olivia and Jasper returned to their rooms to shower and change their clothes.
Forty minutes later, Olivia went downstairs first. She had changed her style. She wore white wide-legged pants, a beige blouse, and a smog-blue cardigan. Her straight hair was left loose, and she put on light makeup. She only applied a little foundation, drew her eyebrows, and applied lipstick of a neutral color.
Natalie stood downstairs. When she saw that her daughter did not carry any bag, she asked, "You're not bringing a bag?"
Olivia shook her head and raised the phone in her hand in the air. "I'm not bringing a bag. I'm just bringing a phone. It's quite troublesome to carry a bag around. It feels uncomfortable around my neck."
"Grandpa, is your leg feeling unwell today?"
Caleb, who was sitting on the sofa, turned around. Seeing that Olivia was unwilling to carry a bag, Natalie did not say anything else. Natalie did not like to bring a bag either. She glanced at Caleb and Olivia chatting in the distance and turned around to follow Rachel to the kitchen to pack the things they had brought back from the cemetery.
A few minutes later, Jasper went downstairs while straightening his clothes. He changed into dark jeans, a white shirt, and a long khaki windbreaker.
He walked straight to the door and bent over to pick out his shoes. In the end, he chose a pair of pure white sneakers.
Olivia stared at her brother for several minutes and said a simple goodbye to Caleb. "Grandpa, I'm leaving." Then, she walked toward the door.
Caleb turned to look at the door and asked, "Are you guys going out to have fun together?"
