As Luca watched May tidy up the ward, she slowly closed her eyes.

Another young police officer asked curiously, “Tell who?”

“Mr. Crawford,” replied the police officer. He let out a sigh. “The Crawford family and the Mallory family are both involved. Looks like it’s going to be a difficult case.”

“The chief of police is the only one who’s stuck between them. We’ll just have to do things based on the evidence, right?” said the young police officer.

The elder officer shot him a glance, shook his head, and said, "Little brat, you're still too young. It's not that simple."

After Pierre entered the house, the gate of the Mallory family’s house was closed again.

Old Master Mallory was waiting for Pierre in the living room. He saw him walking in while reeking of alcohol. The old master frowned and scolded him, “You came home with a strong alcohol smell on you. What the h*ll are you doing?!”

Pierre looked at the stern expression on the old master’s face. He grinned and replied, “Grandpa, I accidentally drank too much at my friend’s house last night. I haven’t changed my clothes, so that’s why I stink of alcohol.”

Old Master Mallory listened to his explanation and did not expose him. Instead, he ordered, "Nonsense. You have your own company now. You can't spend the whole day drinking now. Hurry up and clean yourself. Get changed."

“Yes, Sir.” Pierre bowed to him. Then, he turned around and went upstairs.

As expected, after the old master knew he had set up his own company, he did not blame him too much anymore.

From the beginning till now, the entire Mallory family had put their hopes on Percy, while all he had to do was to live his own life. The elders in the family seemed to have no expectations for him.

"Do you need someone to pick you up?" Luke looked at the cynical man and remembered what he did to Luca. His hands that were in his pockets were clenched tightly.

“No. I wouldn’t dare to trouble you to pick me up even if I needed it.” Pierre was joyfully satisfied. Although he lost a huge amount of money this time without accomplishing his goal, he still felt happy.

It was because he knew how important Luca was to Luke. Moreover, he had shown Old Master Mallory how capable he was.

Previously, he was always in distress about how he was going to tell the old master that he had set up a company of his own out there.

“How was the taste of the tea in the police station?” Luke questioned him as he listened to his mockery.

Pierre shook his head. “Pretty good. Well, it’s not as good as the tea at home. Oh, Mr. Crawford, you have some nice tea in your office too, right? Aren’t you busy today? Is there nothing to do in the office? I heard that you’re preparing to join the tender for the project in Europe. Don’t you have to go back to keep an eye on it?”

“Your company is joining too, but aren’t you free as well? Everyone in the city was looking for you last night but you were hiding. Don’t you need to head back to your company to call the shots?” Luke used the same way to mock Pierre.

“Sigh, my company is just a small company with a few employees. But since I’ve set up a company, I’ll have to be responsible for my employees. Enough with the talking.
