Chapter 318
Even though Noah liked to act coy, Yvette knew he wouldn’t usually cause a scene. He was already in great pain because of his illness.
Since it was rare for him to have his eyes set on a toy, she figured he was naturally upset when he couldn’t get it.
“Please don’t cry, Noah. I’ll think of another way, alright?”
At that moment, Claude immediately said, “Noah, I’ll win you the toy with Mom, alright?”
When Noah heard what Claude said, he stopped crying and looked at the man with his huge eyes. “Alright. “After saying that, he looked at Yvette again. “Do your best with Dad, Mom.”
When Yvette saw what was happening, she didn’t know what else to say.
The three of them registered their names at the game. When there were ten couples ready, the staff explained the rules.
The game was simple. Each person would stand face–to–face with their partners. After they were. blindfolded, the staff would drop something on a rope, like a piece of paper or an apple.
The participants would have to use their bodies to stop the object from moving. However, they couldn’t use their hands.
By the time Yvette and Claude got on the stage, the other couples were ready as well. The staff took out the first item, which was a balloon. Since it was big, they just needed to take a step forward to stop it from dropping.
After the participants were blindfolded, the staff announced, “Start!”
Everyone took a step forward and easily caught the balloon on a rope.
Noah cheered from the side. “Good luck, Mom, Dad!” With him in her mind, Yvette was determined to win the stuffed panda.
They managed to catch a few large objects in a row. However, it was inevitable for their bodies to touch from time to time. In the end, there were only two teams left. The staff said the last item was a piece of
paper.
When the game started, Yvette stepped forward again. At first, she could feel the paper landing on her face. Then, Claude held her in his arms. He lowered his head to catch the paper, and his lips met hers.
It felt like the world had stopped moving, and Yvette heard the staff saying, “Congratulations! You’ve won!”
Noah used Claude’s phone to snap a photo of Yvette and Claude. The crowd applauded, and Yvette started blushing. After she took the blindfold off, she didn’t dare look at Claude for a long time.
As they took Noah back to the hospital, he held on to the huge stuffed panda, feeling over the moon.” Mom, will you visit me with Dad next time again?”
Yvette nodded in a daze. “Sure.”
After leaving Noah, she rejected Claude’s offer to bring her back home. “I drove here too. If you take me home, my car will be here, and it’ll be inconvenient for me.”

She was avoiding his gaze when she spoke to him.
“Sure. When will you be free next? Let’s visit Noah together again.”
“I’m not sure yet. I’ve promised Kiki that I would visit her a few days ago.” She found an excuse to refuse his invitation.
