Ray saw Yvette in her nightgown, completely drenched and curled up in a corner. Her arms and legs were covered in red scratches. 

He quickly turned off the water, grabbed a bathrobe and draped it over her, covering her exposed body. 

“Are you all right?” Ray’s voice was loud, but it sounded faint to Yvette. 

She slowly regained her senses and looked up at him. She replied weakly, “I’m fine.” 

“I’m taking you to the hospital.” 

Ray tried to lift her, but she dodged him. She bit her lip hard. “No.” 

“All the hospitals in Tirion are under the Shaw family’s control. Tristan already knows I’m back. If he finds out I took something, he’ll definitely tell Xavier! If Xavier discovers there was something in the wine, it’ll be difficult for me to get close to him in the future.”

Ray said nothing and went to the door to stand guard, making sure to inform Claude that everything was 

fine. 

Since Yvette had hung up on Zachary’s call before, the boy had gotten worried and informed Claude. Claude had tried to call Yvette, but no one answered. So, he had asked Ray to check on her. 

An hour later, the drug’s effects finally wore off. Yvette applied some ointment to the scratches, changed her clothes, and came out of the bathroom. 

Ray was still waiting outside.
