When Yvette heard Noah acting coy like he used to, she carefully and hurriedly explained, "I was too busy today, and I'd forgotten to call you. I'm sorry. I'll be sure to visit you tomorrow, alright?"
When he heard that, he couldn't help letting out a breath of relief. Then, he sensibly said, "It's alright, Mom. Please continue with your work. I'm doing well at the hospital, so you don't have to trouble yourself and come all the way here."
Normally, he would've started doing his best to make her go to him by now. However, he was sensible like Zachary at that moment.
After Yvette heard what he said, she felt extremely bad for him. So, she decided she had to see him the next day.
She only ended the call after talking to him for a long time. Once the call ended, she got some rest on the couch.
Suddenly, a tall figure stood in front of her, blocking the light. When she opened her eyes with a slight frown, she saw Xavier standing near her.
"Can I help you?" she asked in confusion.
"Did you really just go out for a walk before we ate?" he asked.
She didn't want to tell him about it. "Yeah. What's up?"
"Nothing." When he heard her answer, he stopped asking about it.
After he left, he immediately called the bodyguard and told the latter to check the surveillance footage. As expected, all the footage in the area from that day was corrupted.
"Then check somewhere further."
"Yes, sir."
After a short while, Xavier received information on all the cars the bodyguard had looked into. They were all cars from the vicinity, and he'd even received information on the car owners. One of the cars belonged to Lane Group. Xavier told his man to investigate that car.
It didn't take long before he received footage of the car. He then told Mark to look at the footage.
It clearly showed Jeremiah sitting in the car. Mark didn't know what was happening at all and told Xavier about Jeremiah. When Xavier heard that, he said nothing else and ended the call.
Yvette had already finished taking a shower and was ready to sleep. When she opened the door to her room, she saw Xavier sitting inside.
