Yvette asked in a daze, "What news?"
"The trending news online. You'll know when you see it. I knew Xavier was a bastard!" Kiki gripped her phone tightly.
Yvette returned to her senses a little and looked to her side. Xavier was still sound asleep. "Hold on. I'll take a look right now."
After she ended the call and went online, she immediately saw the number one trending news. She tapped on the links and saw the photos clearly. In the photos, Daphne was in Xavier's embrace, and it looked like they were wearing nothing under the blanket.
Yvette thought she'd stopped caring about it a long time ago. However, when she saw the photos, she felt her heart aching.
Then, Kiki sent her a message. "Yvvy, don't be angry. There are a lot of men for you to choose from."
Yvette replied, "Yeah, I know. I'm fine." She couldn't sleep anymore, and she was prepared to get out of bed.
Xavier slowly opened his eyes and pulled her back into his arms. "What time is it?"
Yvette seemed to have returned to her calm self. "It's 6:30 am."
Xavier didn't notice anything wrong with her, and he gently said, "It's still early, so let's continue sleeping."
"I don't want to sleep anymore." She pulled his hand away, and her cold tone finally made him realize something was wrong.
"What's up? Are you feeling unwell?"
Yvette's phone chimed again as Kiki sent her another message. When Xavier heard that, he thought it was a message from Claude or another man. So, he reached out to grab the phone.
"What are you doing?"
"Who's texting you?"
"It's none of your business."
She wanted to snatch the phone back. However, Xavier's arm was too long, and she couldn't reach it no matter what. So, she yelled angrily, "Give it back!"
Then, he finally returned the phone obediently.
Yvette felt worse at that moment. Then, she played the voice message Kiki had sent her. "Yvvy, where are you now? Shall I visit you? I'm telling you, Claude is way better. At least he doesn't have any disgusting exes. As for the kids…"
She immediately stopped the message as she was worried that Kiki might mention the truth about the kids' parentage.
