"What if somebody sees us?" Xavier chuckled coldly when he heard Yvette say that. The driver was so terrified that his forehead was covered in sweat.
"To the hospital," said Xavier.
"Yes, sir."
…
Meanwhile, Noah was throwing a tantrum in the ward and wouldn't eat at all. "I want to see my mom. Why isn't she here? Mom…"
Wendy didn't know what to do at all. "Be good and listen to me, alright, Noah?"
He had always been nice to her before. However, he stopped being nice since he wanted to see Yvette at that moment. "I'm not eating. Tell my mom to come now!"
Wendy was in a difficult spot as she didn't have Yvette's contact at all. Suddenly, someone opened the door. Xavier was standing outside the ward.
"Mr. Lane," Wendy greeted.
"You may leave now," he said.
She placed the food down and exited the ward. Then, she closed the door behind her. With that, Noah and Xavier were the only ones left inside.
When Noah saw Xavier's long face, he didn't know what was going on. "Mister, where is my mom?"
Xavier found a chair and sat down. "Do I need to remind you again? Call me Dad," he said coldly.
Noah started blushing for some reason. Although he could call Claude his dad all he wanted, he still couldn't call his actual dad for who he was. "Hmph! You're not my dad!"
"Shall I show you the DNA test results?" Xavier asked.
Noah pretended to be ignorant. "What's that? I have never heard of those words before, and I'm not interested in finding out."
Xavier wasn't as gullible as Yvette, and he knew Noah was as smart as Zachary.
