Eli felt Kara's fear. He raised his head and glanced at James. His James's aura was too cold and he was frightened.
He patted Kara's shoulder as comfort and stood in front of James.
"James, I just drop by. Don't you welcome me?"
James stared coldly at Kara, who was hiding behind Eli, and his cold aura intensified.
James was so angry that he didn't want to speak. He turned and went upstairs.
Eli was lost for words.
Eli was puzzled.
Watching James go upstairs, Kara was even more panicked. She wanted to explain but was afraid that he would make mistakes.
After going upstairs, James took off his tie in frustration and stood by the window to calm himself down. However, the image of Eli helping Kara wear the brooch kept flashing in his mind.
"Shit!"
Unable to calm down, he was a little irritable. He changed his clothes and walked to the window again.
Did he leave them room to get along by going up?
If Eli dared to flirt with Kara, he would suffer!
He turned around and left the room. When he reached the stairs, he coughed lightly before slowing down. He was elegant and noble as he regained his arrogance.
Kara was chatting with Eli, and he asked her what plans she had for this summer vacation.
Kara would help in Larry's studio, and she still owed Donald a painting. She would try her best to draw it this summer.
They were of the same age and had their dreams and many topics to talk about.
James went downstairs and saw the two talking and laughing, his face gloomy.
He deliberately hardened his pace. Crossing his legs, he sat on the sofa and turned on his tablet.
When Kara saw that he had come, she immediately stopped speaking, and there were a few words of uneasiness.
"I, I'm going to see how Libby is doing with dinner." She fled to the kitchen.
Seeing that she was so afraid of James, Eli smiled helplessly. He leaned against the sofa and stared at the kitchen.
"Eli, you have nothing else to do?"
Finding that he had been staring at Kara, James gritted his teeth and wanted to throw him out.
Eli came back to his senses and realized that he was a little rude to keep staring at Kara.
"Kind of. After the end of the third year of high school, I will relax for a while."
Eli's gaze fell on James's hand and found the ring on his pinky finger. Recalling the black diamond ring on Kara's neck, he narrowed his eyes.
He had a bad feeling in his heart, but he quickly denied it.
"James, your ring is very beautiful."
James paused and glanced at him. "You have good taste."
"James, I haven't congratulated you yet. You will be engaged in a few days." Eli congratulated him with a smile, but he was probing.
James turned to look at the kitchen. He quickly looked away.
Noticing that he was looking at the kitchen, Eli was messed up and he continued to question him.
"James, after you get married, Kathleen will live in this villa, right? Kara is an adult. It seems that the relationship between Kathleen and Kara is not very good. It is not very good to let Kara stay."
Sensing the hostility in Eli's tone, James curved his lips up.
It was precisely because Kara was an adult that he could have a wife!
"This is not something you should care about."
Eli was angry. He couldn't calm down when Kara was involved.
"James, you should take Kara into consideration. Living with your wife will put Kara in a difficult position."
"I know you want to be good to her, but your way of doing things is a bit too forceful. How about I rent her an apartment and hire a nanny?"
James stared at him coldly. He asked Kara to move out so as to have more time to get along with her, right?
