Why was she reluctant?
Kara blinked in confusion. His amber eyes looked around before she understood what he meant. Then, she shook her head in a panic.
"No!"
James was satisfied in his heart, but his face was still cold.
"Eli suggested you move out. Kara, what do you think?"
Kara clenched her fists and wanted to say that she had decorated her apartment, but she still couldn't say it.
"Uncle James, do you think that I should move out?"
James stared at her coldly and noticed that her expression was a little hesitant. She was obviously hesitating.
"Kara, didn't I say that you can't leave the villa without my permission?"
He had saved her back then, so he could restrict her now!
Kara lowered her head guiltily. It was because of his words that she dared not to tell him about the apartment.
"You want to move out." He said.
"No," Kara frowned, feeling that she should tell him about this matter.
"Uncle James, after you get married, Kathleen will move in. Sooner or later, I will still have to leave."
"So, you want to leave, right?"
It returned to the original point. Kara suddenly felt a little afraid that he would lose his temper.
James walked up to her and habitually stroked her little head, messing up her hair.
"Kara, are you hiding something from me?"
"No." Kara forced a smile, and her fingers unconsciously grasped her clothes.
James had been in the business world for so many years and his eyes were so sharp. When he saw her actions, he knew very well that she was lying.
"It would be best if you are not." James ran her short hair again and said in a gentle tone, "If there's anything, you must tell me. Do you understand?"
Kara ran upstairs and returned to the bedroom. She fell on the bed and rolled a few times.
James would be engaged to Kathleen in two days, and Kathleen would let her leave the villa after Kathleen moved in.
She grabbed the quilt. She didn't want to leave at all, but reality didn't allow her to stay.
She scratched her head in frustration, jumped up, and went to the bathroom. She would take a shower and go to sleep!
James returned to his study. Thinking of Kara's escape, he narrowed his cold eyes, feeling a little worried.
After pondering for a moment, he got up and came to Kara's door.
He knocked on the door, but no one responded. He raised his eyebrows in surprise and opened the door with the key.
When he entered the room and heard the sound of water in the bathroom, he was relieved.
His gaze swept around her bedroom and found the two suitcases beside her wardrobe. His cold gaze became sharp.
Just as he was about to check her wardrobe, he suddenly heard the phone on the bed vibrate. He glanced at it and found that it was Donald's call. He was stunned for a while.
He picked up the phone calmly.
"Kara, the package you told me about has arrived. It's the sheets. I've washed the sheets for you. How are you going to thank me?"
James clenched his fists.
She had prepared the sheets. Who was she going to use it with?
"Kara, why are you not speaking?"
"Donald, I'll inform you in advance. Kara will not move out of the villa!"
He hung up and turned off the phone.
Kara opened the bathroom door with only a bath towel on her body, and she was lowering her head to wipe her hair.
Walking to the bedside, only to see a man on the bed, she stepped back in fright.
"Uncle James, what are you doing here?"
"Are you unhappy to see me?" James was lying on the side of the bed, and he curved up his lips at her.
He looked intimidating and attractive.
However, Kara felt a chill run down her spine as he stared at her, and she took two steps back in fear.
