Although Kara had known that Linda was greedy and short-sighted, she still felt sad when she knew Linda sold her for the money.

"Why are you crying? I'm here," James said. He couldn't help but feel upset when seeing her crying.

Kara threw herself into his arms and cried her heart out like an injured small animal, "Uncle James, I feel miserable."

After her father died, she only had her grandmother and uncle as her family. However, her grandmother thought her father died because of her. Whenever she saw Kara, she treated Kara badly.

In order to get her shares, her uncle and aunt wanted to kill her.

Like scorpions, they would take her life at any time. Kara was uneasy and scared.

"You have five minutes!"

"Uncle James...."

She felt so wronged that words failed her. In his arms, she sobbed and called his name.

It seemed that only by being in his embrace would she feel safe.

After crying for a long time, Kara probably was beat and fell asleep in his arms. James gently carried her to the bed.

"James, I didn't know you are this gentle."

Will was not afraid of his warning gaze. He left with James after the latter tucked Kara in.

Outside the ward, Will looked at James' wet shirt and said meaningfully.

"I want to take care of her and I comfort her when she is sad. Doesn't it make sense?" James sneered.

"There are many ways to take care of her. You are rich, won't it be more convenient to have a nurse to take care of her?"

Will stared at him and scrutinized his expression.

He continued, "Because of Kara, you put aside your work and flew home on your private jet. It's the first time you did so."

James raises his eyebrows. Right after he knew Kara's missing, the first thought on his mind was to look for her. He was so anxious that he flew back in a hurry.

"So what?" he asked coldly, obviously losing his patience.

"Stop! We've grown up together, and I know you well. You look calm and indifferent, but in fact you are cunning and calculated!"

Will put on a meaningful smile that every adult would understand.
