Uncle's Love: My Sweet Little Wife novel Chapter 85

After Kara finished her homework, she waited for Larry to check. Instead of Larry, Donald came upstairs first.

"Hi, Donald," Kara said with a smile.

Donald felt that she was a little nervous, and so he smiled back and comforted her, "We are classmates, which means we are equal. You don't have to be nervous when facing me. Master Larry is attending to his guests, and so he sends me up here to check your homework."

"Okay, here is my homework. Thank you, Donald."

When Donald got her painting, he was surprised and understood why Larry sent him up.

She painted so well that other students couldn't easily comment on her work.

He concealed his surprise and pointed a pencil at the place she needed to improve.

He wondered, "How old were you when you first learned to paint?"

Kara thought for a while and said, "I'm not sure. My mother said that I could draw things when I learned how to eat on my own."

Donald blinked as he thought, 'She is indeed a talented painter.'

Although most of Larry's students were talented, she was only seventeen and had so much potential yet to fulfill.

He already found her painting not so easy to comment on. There was no doubt that she would have a promising future as a painter.

"Who taught you to paint before you come here?"

Kara answered, "It was my mother. She loved drawing, and so I drew with her."

In Kara's memory, drawing was a hobby and a game between her mom and her.

Remembering her mother, the smile on Kara's face faded. She tried to force a smile but failed.

"Thank you for your suggestions, Donald. I will keep those in mind and do better next time."

Kara took back her homework and was about to throw the paintings she was not satisfied with into the trash can.

"Wait, what are you doing?" Donald felt sorry for those paintings which were going to be thrown away.

"I've drawn too much recently, and so I want to clear some out."

Kara always dealt with her paintings like this. She would only keep the paintings she liked and would throw away those she didn't like.

"If you don't want them, may I help you take care of them?" Donald quickly took the works from her and left the studio.

By the time Kara realized what had happened, Donald had already left.

She raised her eyebrows and left this thing behind since she wasn't going to keep them anyway.

It was time for James to pick her up. She packed her things and walked out of the studio.

However, instead of seeing James waiting for her, she heard someone calling his name. She felt surprised and went to where the voice came from, an office near the balcony.

"James, relax. Don't be so urgent. I need a break."

The voice belonged to the man who saw her and James hugging in the morning and screamed. And now she heard him whining with coquetry.

"I thought you like something thrilling?"

James sneered, and then there came a sound of bumping.

"How narrow-minded you are to treat me like this merely for seeing you holding that teenage girl in your arms in the morning. But now I see why you don't hang out with us anymore. Now that you are accompanied by such a lovely lady, surely you don't need us." The man said with playful resentment.

Kara was shocked at their conversation.

She remembered that Arya had said that James liked men. And according to her words, every man he dated was not only distinguished but also very good-looking.

She recalled the face of the man she met in the morning. It was a slightly feminine face with a pair of beautiful and lively eyes on it which made him look more attractive rather than sissy.

From his tone, she could tell that he was jealous.

"James, every time I play with you, I am not amused but exhausted."

"You can choose not to play."

James's voice remained indifferent as if nothing could arouse his interest.
