Knowing that James could help her improve her English by twenty points in a month, Kara felt relaxed when she studied.
"You look so happy. What happened? Did you win the lottery?"
Arya put an arm on Kara's shoulder and saw her smile. She assumed something good happened to her.
"That's right. Knowing Uncle James is like winning a lottery." Kara smiled brightly.
"Tell me, what did Uncle James do?" Arya was curious.
Kara told her that James could help her improve her English by another 20 points. She would be happy to improve even one point. Not to mention 20 points!
Perhaps, this could probably get her into University A!
Arya took out her phone and searched. When she saw the information, she couldn't help but click her tongue.
"It's amazing. He got full marks in English, French, and Math on the high school entrance examination. Attaboy!"
"How do you know?"
Kara knew from her conversation with Nolan that James went to a famous university abroad to study economics when he was in eleventh grade. And James took only one year to finish what other people may take three years to learn. He finished successive postgraduate and doctoral programs in business management, and he also studied other subjects during his postgraduate period.
"I searched online. Unfortunately, there isn't any handsome photo of him on the Internet." Arya sighed.
Kara looked at the brief introduction of James on her mobile phone. She was thinking about James and couldn't help but smile.
"How was your art exam?"
Arya just remembered that Kara had taken a leave yesterday to take the art exam.
"Not bad." Kara tittered.
Arya looked at her happy face. She knew Kara was a very humble person. If Kara said it was not bad, then she probably had a very good result.
"That's great. After you finish the college entrance examination, I will hang out with you." Arya was happy for her.
Kara rolled her eyes at her. "Arya, aren't you going to study abroad after the college entrance examination?"
Arya froze. She blinked and turned to look out the window.
Seeing the change in her face, Kara was a bit flustered. She grabbed her hand and tried to know if something had happened.
"You don't want to study abroad. Arya, you must be hiding something from me!"
Arya squeezed a smile and joked indifferently, "I'm the bravest person in this world. And I have a good brother to protect me. Nothing's bothering me. Don't worry about me. Let's prepare for the college entrance examination and realize our dreams together."
Kara thought 'dream' was a beautiful word, but she saw a trace of sadness in Arya's eyes.
She didn't want to force Arya, so she held Arya's hand, nodded, and smiled.
"Yes, we will realize our dreams."
Before she met James, she did not dare to have dreams.
But after meeting him, he taught her to dream and taught her to use her imagination to get closer to her dreams.
Thinking of this, Kara placed her hands on her chest and took a deep breath.
"Arya, I think I need to buy a few lottery tickets."
Kara couldn't wait to pick up her phone to buy the lottery tickets.
Arya went silent.
Arya was shocked. Now she realized that Kara worshipped James like he was a god.
After school, Kara excitedly ran to the school gate. She saw the driver but did not see James. She was puzzled.
"Mason, is Uncle James very busy?"
Usually, it was Uncle James who came to pick her up, but she didn't see him. She was quite disappointed.
"Yes, Mr. James is very busy with work. I heard from Nolan that he seemed to be on a business trip this afternoon." Mason replied.
"A business trip?"
Kara frowned. James did not tell her about that.
When she returned to the villa, Libby told her that Uncle James was on a business trip. So she ate dinner alone in a bad mood.
Uncle James was not here, so she could not be bothered to go to the study room. When she was doing her homework in her room, her gaze fell on the English paper. Then she hid the test paper in a fit of pique.
Out of sight. Out of mind.
