Uncle's Love: My Sweet Little Wife novel Chapter 98

Mason was anxious because he did not get Kara at school.

He was afraid that something would go wrong, so he went out half an hour ahead of time. Unfortunately, his car suddenly got a flat tire halfway, so he had no choice but to go to the garage to fix the car.

When he finally got to school, he received a message from Kara, saying that the housekeeper of the Hemmings' invited her to have dinner with Madam Hemming.

When Mason heard that she came to the Hemming's, he immediately called James in panic.

Madam Hemming suddenly asked Kara to the Hemming's full of mean people. Mason was afraid that Kara would be in danger.

James was having lunch. He lost his appetite when he heard what Mason said.

Grandma suddenly asked Kara to the Hemming's. It must be more than a dinner.

No, he had to stop Kara from staying at the Hemming's.

The Hemming's was built a hundred years ago. Later, it was renovated by the architects with many modern designs.

Therefore, the house looked simple and old from the outside, but it was magnificent inside.

Kara passed through the garden and passed by a large fountain before entering the old house.

"Madam Hemming, Kara had arrived," the bodyguard reported.

"Well, it's right at the dinner time."

Madam Hemming looked up and saw the timid girl standing behind the bodyguard. She frowned slightly.

This timid little girl was the scheming girl that Emma was talking about?

"Little girl, don't be afraid. Come over and talk to me." Madam Hemming smiled kindly.

Kara saw that Zoey 's eyes were not as sharp and unkind as Linda's. She breathed a sigh of relief.

Kara thought, "Since Uncle James respects her, she must be a good person."

Thinking of Uncle James, Kara was completely relieved. She smiled, "Hello, Great Grandma, I'm Kara."

Kara called James "Uncle James", and Madam Hemming was James's grandmother, so Kara called her great-grandma.

Madam Hemming looked at her delicate face and frowned, but she quickly recovered.

"Come, sit by me and chat with me."

"Thank you, Great Grandma."

Kara went to sit by Zoey.

Today, the Hemming's was very quiet. No one went out because of their own matters. On the huge dining table, Zoey was alone.

Madam Hemming asked her a few questions, and Kara answered truthfully.

"Are you used to living in James's villa?" Madam Hemming asked as she ate as if it was just chitchat.

"Yes, Libby is very good at cooking. Uncle James is very friendly."

When Zoey heard that James was actually friendly in Kara's eyes, she paused in surprise and glanced at her.

She found that Kara had beautiful amber eyes, which were bright and attractive.

She had investigated Kara, and Kara was honest when she answered the questions. However, when Kara said that James was friendly, and Zoey was shocked.

James liked to keep a straight face since he was a child. When he grew up, he always kept a poker face. When he was angry and glowered, even Zoey would be afraid, let alone others.

"Is James easy to get along with?"

"Yes, Uncle James is nice." Kara nodded and smiled.

Zoey was dumbfounded Kara seemed to be telling the truth.
