Uncontrollable Fondness novel Chapter 20

Father, father…These two words representing warmth and caring sounded cold, ruthless and snobbish at the moment. Last night, her foster father, who didn’t want to earn money on his own, came again. Yes, he was her foster father, who appeared in her life when she was ten years old. She had no memories of the previous ten years before him.

The foster father gritted his teeth and said to her, “I raised you and you’re not dead yet. Remember, you must repay me later.”

Thus, her life was tied to him.

Her foster father made it clear when she was a kid that he only wanted her to grow up, earn a lot of money and take care of him for the rest of his life.

She could take care of him, but not in this way.

Last night her father came over and said to her with a smile that he regretted what he had done before. He also asked the dean of the Huntington hospital to let her explain everything and tried to put her back to work there.

Believing everything he said, she just wiped away tears of joy. Then the father handed her a bottle of water and drank it all without a second thought.

Once again, her father fooled her!

Was it because she was too simple and naive to think like her father? In their family relationships it was her father who was always thinking about getting money from her in any possible way.

She even couldn’t cry to feel better; the tears were gone. What else did she expect?

With no tears on her clean face, she slid off the bed and simply looked around. The room was very big, with no furnishings, only a large mirror, directly facing the bed, reflecting everything here.

Who was that person who brought her in? Her eyes fell on the check, there were some words written on it. She made some efforts to recognize them before she could clearly see the last word --- William.

William Brown!

Did he try to insult her in this way again?

She tore up the check and threw it on the floor. She jumped on it and stamped it for a few minutes. Mia refused to exchange her body for money.

The closed door and the security windows. She can't get out, what else does William want to do with her?

Running to the window, she could see the scenery outside. Mia saw a black car. She had lived in an ordinary family since she was a child. She didn't know any cars, but it was obvious that the car was very expensive. The car was all black, exuding a luxurious black light, and is seemed so long, one-third longer than a normal car.

Staring at the luxurious and flamboyant car, Mia saw it stopped, then two men jumped out, and one politely opened the door of the back seat.

She saw man’s long legs slipping out of the car, followed by an upper body, and finally a head. He was like a proud son of the world. His steps were elegant and full of domineering. His hands were slightly swaying on both sides of his suit pants. He held them slightly, as if he could hold the whole world in his palm.

He was followed by several men in black, and a row of neatly dressed servants were standing in front of him, bowing and saluting under the leadership of Rebecca Johnson.

Her snow-white fists clenched slightly, half-length nails pinched into the flesh, and she started biting her lips. What did she feel to this man?

Her was her rescuer and her abuser.

William seemed to be talking to Rebecca Johnson sideways, and Rebecca responded calmly. Thinking about everything, Mia didn't want to look at this man anymore and closed her eyes.

The door was pushed open by someone. Mia’s body shuddered, his heart tightened for no reason, and a painful expression appeared on her face. William stepped in, and when he saw Mia’s painful expression, he frowned slightly, but he immediately loosened, and his face became cold again.

She is Mia, not Sophia! She even doesn't look like her!

Mia shrank at the corner of the window, like a frightened bunny, but looked at him with a pair of stubborn black eyes.
