Chapter 42 Alexander Parks Heading To The Airport
Tony narrowed his eyes. “Book the nearest flight immediately. We’ll rush to the airport right now. It’s best if we can go back on the same flight as Julian. If it really doesn’t work, then a later flight is fine. It’s only less than an hour late after all
“Alright, I’ll get someone to book a plane ticket. Alexander immediately called his assistant and asked him to arrange a plane ticket.
He called Abigail and asked for her identity information,
After that, the father and son rushed to the airport
Because they were in a hurry, both did not even bother to eat breakfast before heading out
40 minutes later, they arrived at the airport.
Alexander called Abigail. “Baby, where are you?”
Abigail wheeled over the phone. “Honey, I’ll be there in about 20 minutes. I’ll ask the driver to hurry up” “Alright, we’ll wait for you.” Alexander suppressed the irritation deep down and tried his best to speak gently. The distance between the Barton residence and the airport was about the same as the distance between Hamilton Hotel and the airport. They had already arrived, but Abigail still needed 20 minutes. He thought she was really slow.
In the car, Abigail urged the driver, “Alright, we can set off now. Drive faster. Don’t care about the lights. I’ll just settle the ticket for you.”
She was only setting off then.
It was really too time consuming to dress up. She was not satisfied with her current attire.
In addition to dressing up, she also packed breakfast and that took time.
Now, with the driver driving, she ate her breakfast leisurely.
Afraid that she would smudge her lipstick, she reached out and picked up a piece of pastry. She opened her mouth wide as she placed the pastry into her mouth.
The driver subconsciously stopped when he saw a red light.
Abigail immediately urged irritably, “Why are you stopping? Drive, man!”
“It’s a red light,” the driver said grudgingly.
“I told you, I’d settle the fines or whatever for you later! Do you know where I’m going? I’m going to the Parks. family at Jadeborough to see my future in-laws. Can you afford to compensate me if I get there late, huh? Just drive already!” Abigail ordered angrily.
The driver always followed the traffic rules. After being shouted at by Abigail, he could only grit his teeth and forcefully run the red light. Then, he sped all the way.
On the other side.
Julian and Annalise were ready to board.
Before boarding, Annalise said to Julian, “wait for me.”
With that, she hurried to a shop and came out two or three minutes later, carrying two bags.
“What did you do?” Julian asked with a smile.
Annalise smiled and said, “Buns. This is probably the most delicious thing you can eat at the airport. Try it.. The meat is very good. Fresh ingredients every day, I heard.”
“You fly a lot?” Julian asked with a smile.
Annalise shook his head. “Not often. Very rarely. I occasionally send people to the airport.”
“Okay.” Julian did not probe further. There would be plenty of opportunities to slowly understand her in the future anyway.
He took the bun and took a bite. It was indeed delicious!
This was the first time he had eaten a bun from a stall.
