Chapter 43 We Meet Again
The group boarded the plane.
Alexander asked his assistant to book a ticket too late. There was only one first-class ticket left on that flight.
Knowing that they were in a hurry to get back, the assistant booked first class for Tony but only economy. class for Alexander and Abigail.
After boarding the plane, Abigail was unhappy. “Economy class? But I’ve never taken an economy-class seat before.”
“Baby, just make do with it,” Alexander said gently.
Inwardly, he was dismissive. She complained about flying in economy class, never giving any thought about him never having done so before.
He thought how dare a young lady from a small city like her was showing off her superiority in front of a Jadeborough elite like him.
After boarding the plane, Abigail immediately saw Annalise in first class. Her expression suddenly turned ugly.
Annalise was in first class, but she was in economy class.
That meant Annalise won over her again.
Her anger rose for no reason.
At the auction, she had already been suppressed by Annalise. Now, Annalise was doing it again.
She suddenly had a feeling that Annalise would suppress her in the future.
“Bah, in your dreams!” she said inwardly.
She wondered that after reaching Jadeborough, even with Julian’s protection, would Annalise, who looked like a bumpkin, be able to integrate into Jadeborough’s elite circle.
Feeling uncomfortable, she couldn’t help but said sarcastically, “It’s really true that getting on with the right. person means being able to ride on their success indeed. A nobody can indeed be somebody just like that.”
When Tony saw Annalise, he immediately thought of Annalise asking him for 1.5 billion dollars. He was also filled with anger. He followed Abigail’s words and said, “A leopard can never change its spots. No matter how flashy one dresses, one can never hide what’s inside.”
When Annalise saw that Julian was about to flare up, she immediately pulled Julian back and said, “When I was young, I was very good at stepping on shells. My body sank, and when I stepped on a shell and felt uncomfortable, I would immediately plunge into the water and fish out the shell. Once, I fished up a shell that was bigger than my face. We started a fire and roasted it.”
Whether it was Abigail or Julian’s father, no names were mentioned. She saw no reason to take it personally. She had always had a principle. She never flared up in front of insults. If others were to speak sarcastically, it meant she could do it too.
For example, she deliberately brought up the story about stepping on a shell. She knew that it could anger Tony because Tony could not stand things related to the countryside the most.
Sure enough, when Tony heard that Annalise had dived into the water to fish for shells when she was young, he was so angry that the corners of his mouth twitched. He roared at Julian, “Look at what got here!”
Julian calmly retorted, “My wife may not look like much, at least she’s clean and not a mistress.”
“You, you!” Tony was really angry.
He immediately hit his chest and sat back down.
“Dad, we’ll head over first.” Alexander brought Abigail to economy class.
He still had to talk to Abigail about treating Samuel later. Anyway, he would let Abigail take a look first. If her medical skills could treat Samuel’s illness, then she would be the attending physician.
If they couldn’t, they could hire a famous doctor to treat Samuel. Abigail would only need to play doctor if they do so.
