As Finnian stood there, his face a mask of calm while he spoke with the doctor, Liliana's mind raced.

It seemed Finnian had some feelings for Amara. She didn’t know the specifics, but she had to accept this reality.

So, she needed to change her strategy.

After Finnian ended the call, she asked, "Finn, do you have any thoughts about Ms. Sullivan?"

Finnian's expression remained cool as he replied, "That's none of your business."

Liliana bit her lip, her resentment towards Amara deepening.

She forced a smile and said, "I overreacted earlier. I didn’t mean to interfere."

Finnian nodded, his tone still indifferent, "The doctor will be here soon. I'll go meet him. You should rest."

He went out to meet Liliana's family doctor, who arrived shortly. Finnian then left the room, standing in the hallway, his mind drifting.

After a while, the doctor emerged. Finnian asked, "How is she?"

"Mr. Everly, there's no need to worry. Ms. Porter is fine, just experiencing some contractions. I've prescribed some medication for her to take over the next few days."

"Alright," Finnian nodded, "I'll see you out."
