Vanessa finally realized just how egregious of a mistake she had made all along. It was her continued indulgence that led to Donna hunting the guts to treat her this way. 

charles and trene kept helping her in the hopes that she would get along well with the Wares, her in–laws. At the end of the day, she was the reason for everything. She abruptly felt apologetic toward her parents. 

“It’s my fault.“Vanessa admitted. “Donna has been spoiled rotten by her family. She’s selfish through and through. 

“When she found out that Dad’s name was also on the deed to the house Throught with me when I married Jaden, meaning that it couldn’t be transferred to her, she got so upset that she called us all to threaten and insult us. Knowing that, it’s obvious that she wouldn’t give up so easily.” 

She knew fully just how extreme Donna’s personality was. 

“I’m sure her family would agree to buy her a house when she gets married. Otherwise, she wouldn’t stop asking me for mine. Knowing her, she would surely have demanded her family to buy her a house and have it lavishly renovated for her.” 

Aware of the Ware family’s Enancidcircumstances, Vanessa continued, “I know my in–laws have some savings. They should have a few 100 thousand on hand, but property prices are alarmingly high these days. 

“They wouldn’t be able to fork out the money to get her a place that’s over 1000 square feet, let alone have it lavishly renovated. Moreover, they wouldn’t empty their savings just to get her a house.” 

Vanessa explained, “Jaden’s brothers and sisters–in–law are all extremely conniving. They keep claiming that they’re too financially strapped to offer any support, Jaden’s the only one who dutes on Donna so much that he’d give everything he has. Donna doesn’t have a source of income right now, and her fiancé doesn’t come from a well–to–do tamiy either. 

“Since my in–laws are willing to get her a house, Donna will surely want everything to be paid upfront. That way, she and her future husband won’t have to pay off a housing loan. He earns enough to support their daily expenses, which means they can still have an easy life.” 

Meanwhile, Lorraine had filled up her basket with cherries, so she lowered it. Vanessa took it from her and set it on the ground before passing an empty basket back up. 

Once that was done, Lorraine continued to dissect the reason why jaden had come over today to bring her back. 

“On the surface, Jaden’s monthly salary is a bit over ten thousand a month, but I know he eams additional income that’s even more than that. He doesn’t have much to spend on other than the carbrought with me when Imanded him it can’t cost much to maintain it and keep it filled with gas.. 

“He does spend some money treating his friends on their night outs, but he should still be able to save somewhere between 100 to 300 thousand a month. But of course, this is only the salary he’s been getting in the last two years. Previously, it would be a miracle if he even got to save a few thousand a month.” 

Vanessa concluded, “Therefore, he only has a few 100 thousand of his own servings. That, combined with the money my in–Laws would give, would still be too little to buy a Lavishly renovated house that’s over a thousand square feet in our lown.” 

“Does this mean they’re planning on asking you for the money? Lorraine asked. “That explains everything. So many days had passed without him bothering to come and talk to you. But now, he even took a day off work just to come here to take you and josh home. So this is what he’s after,” 

Having figured out the station, Vanessa shuddered, feeling cold desple standing under the blazing hot sun. Jaden claimed he had seen the error in his ways, but that wasn’t true at all. He didn’t see any fault in his warps. He was still determined to take advantage of her by using up all her sandings just to let Donna marry off in splendor. 

Jaden didn’t know how much money Vanessa truly had. In the past, he often said they were a married couple, so her money belonged to him too. It she hid her money from him, it meant that she didn’t treat him as her husband.
