Elinor didn't know how to reply. She pursed her lips and said, "Actually we are not. He came to me to talk about you... Nothing else..."
"What else do you want to explain?" Victor pointed at himself with sharp eyes like knives. His look could almost cut Elinor's bodies apart one by one. "Using me as an excuse? Elinor, can you be more shameless?"
Elinor found it hard to explain. Seeing Victor's chilling eyes, she felt her shoulders tremble and wanted to clarify herself. But she knew that at this moment, no matter what she said, it would be useless.
"Don't act like an innocent sheep. I'm sick of your tricks." Victor clicked his tongue and looked at her with disgust, "I really don't know how the hell people like you can survive. Should I say you are so lucky? Or, is all your innocence so far an act you've put on?"
Elinor lowered her head and wanted to plug her ears. She didn't want to hear Victor's harsh words against her again.
But... She couldn't let go.
As long as it was Victor's words, she was willing to accept them, even though they hurt her.
Victor found it was boring to see Elinor not reply. Then, he grabbed Elinor's chin and was a bit distracted by the delicate touch for a second. Then he regained his fierce sight and stared at Elinor's fair face, "Say something? I thought you wanted to say something, didn't you? Aren't you going to explain yourself just now? Why are you playing dumb now?" Elinor, you are so tricky. How could you fool those parents that you are nothing like your mother?"
Elinor's eyes went red. Her mother was at her bottom line. She was most afraid of being accused of being the daughter of a murderer. She hated people saying that when she grows up, she must be a murderer too. They said that she should be killed while she was small. Otherwise, she will be even more vicious than her mother in the future.
