Matthew didn't expect to get a call from Dixon all of a sudden. As far as he could remember, Dixon had never contacted him since they had completely broken apart because of Sonia. Besides, the aggressive behavior he did toward Sonia afterward would definitely make Dixon mad at him.
So, at this moment, Matthew was a little surprised to see Dixon's name on the caller ID.
He suddenly remembered that Dixon had lost his memory. Perhaps Dixon had forgotten about the previous incident?
After a few seconds of hesitation, Matthew picked up the phone. Dixon's voice came from the other end of the line, with an urgent tone, "Matthew, it's me."
It had been too long... It had been a long time since they had this kind of communication.
Matthew paused, "Well, I still have your number."
He had thought that he and Dixon would be cut off their friendship for life.
Dixon asked, "Do you remember anything about Sonia?"
Hearing Dixon's question, Matthew slightly frowned and thought, 'We've not talked to each other for so long. And that's why you take the initiative to call me?'
"What do you want to know in detail? Be honest." Matthew lowered his voice, "I may not have what you want."
"I want to know about Sonia's adoptive parents... Where they've gone now."
After a while of silence, Dixon asked. And as soon as he raised this question, Matthew changed his expression. "Why do you... Why do you want to know this all of a sudden?"
"Because I found something different..." Dixon glanced outside at the darkness of the night. There seemed to be an unknown crisis spreading in the darkness, "A very different truth from that what we had gotten back then."
Perhaps the brutal truth was slowly unraveling itself in a gesture that everyone simply could not accept. It showed itself bit by bit. A murder case that was planted on Sonia had brought out numerous old grudges and feuds to light.
